Marquez is a great fighter between 126 to 135 pounds........ but, at age 35 and 140+ pounds, Marquez will be made a fool of in July against the younger and more naturally grown Fraud Mayrunner........

This PPV event is a disgrace and a scam........ I will NOT pay extra dollars for this event......

Fraud Mayrunner is still spry and fast at age 32.... His recent rest period was healthy for his body..... Too bad Juan Marquez is NOT as fortunate....

Mayrunner jabs, dances & jives his way to a boring but unanimous decision over the older and slower Marquez..... PPV? Puh-lease.......

Marquez is great, but way outta his league / class at 140 to 144 pounds against Fraud Mayrunner.......

I don't think Fraud Mayrunner is a juicer or anything like that..... I don't even see Mayrunner as a serious weight lifter, either....... If anything, he has increased his diet and has changed his training routine in order to move from 130 to 150 pounds since 1996.....

I'm not sold that Mayrunner can maintain 148 to 154 pounds against all the Jr. Middles out there.... Them dudes may prove too big in the long haul.... But Mayrunner looks fit and primed at 145 to 147 pounds these days........

Mayrunner should be better suited at 144 pounds than Marquez will be in July.......

  5. I'm not sure if I'm picking JMM just yet but I think he has more of a chance of beating Mayweather than a lot of people are giving him.

Size is a factor, yes, but so is momentum. JMM is on a roll right now with his last three performances being the best of his career, including a more than successful step up in weight. Who knows what Floyd's really been up to and how the time away from the ring will effect his performance in July?

I'm picking JMM because he is the active fighter, massive experience against the best, will be faster than PBF and has the smarts to beat him.

Its not like Mayweather is a full blown 147 pound beast. He is a big 135er at best.

I believe Marquez is in his prime and his speed should make most of PBF counters ineffective,he will be in and out before PBF has a chance to land.Marquez is by far his best opponent.

McGrain, I am picking Marquez. I am certain he will win too. I will tell you why, because he is way tougher than PBF. I mean, he is a much meaner dude, and more vicious than PBF. There isn't a vicious bone in Floyd. You can see it in his eyes. All this tough talk he does is just an act. And in the ring? Floyd's perfect record is a FABRICATED record. That is the best I can describe it. FABRICATED. I can't think of a fighter this tough, that FLoyd has ever faced. Maybe Baldomir, but he didn't have the skills nearly as good as JMM has.

No one can adjust in a fight better than Jmm. People say Pbf is the best at adj-usting. But, how tough really is it to adjust when you have the advantages over the other guy to begin with? JMM on the other hand has already proven he can adjust against opponents who had advantages over him. Against Pac, and against the Baby Bull.

Floyd fans will say the speed will get Jmm, and he will get Ko'd. But, Jmm has already faced a guy just as fast as PBF, maybe even faster when he fought Pac TWICE. Jmm is used to this already.

Jmm will be the smartest fighter Pbf will ever have faced. Jmm will also be the opponent with the most heart, determination, and guts that pbf has ever faced. All the pBF fans can redicule and tell me jmm has no chance. But, I tell you guys, pbf chose the wrong guy to come out of retirement against. This fight will be a chess match, and Pbf will not win it. He's going to get knocked out in the middle of the ring too. Just like what happened to the Baby Bull.

  9. I'm being far too sensible in here and I don't like it.

I'm of back to the lounge to be crude and infantile :tong

JMM to beat Mayweather by close UD.

    That's a decent post. Marquez's problems though -

    Mayweather is faster
    Mayweather is bigger
Mayweather has a style advantage (slickster counterpuncher v technical counter-puncher)
Mayweather is superbly acccurate and Marquez has a head movement issue

That's plenty to be going on with.

Only Pac as great finisher as he is can manhandle Floyd like Zab Judah did in the first four rounds. Marquez may not have the power to KO Floyd and he could also be outhassled by this slick fighter. This is a good tuneup for Floyd though. But it's going to be boring.

That's fine. But, you know what, I am ready to place money on Marquez. I got a gut feeling on this one. And I already know what will be said afterwards on this forum. Floyd had ring rust and he just wasn't the same.

Good Post. Jmm is just too determined to fight pac one more time that floyd will be shocked by jmm in this fight. Although I dont see JMM KOing Floyd. I think jmm will win this via decision.

Im going with Mayweather but the lay-off is worrying, Marquez pulling this off wont be the big upset in boxing history type **** everyone is making out.

For the good of future boxing mega fights, Im rooting for a clinical beatdown dished out by Mayweather.
