I am not a fan of his son and I don't think he'll be as have as good as his dad but his dad is one of the greatest mexican boxers so he has alot to try to live up to. I mean it's sometimes unfair to compare related boxers but I'm being honest here. It was definetely a bad decision... They gave each other great fights and I'm a fan of them both. I give much respect to them both. Taylor had more in the tank than people give him credit for in the rematch. He was actually the aggresor throughout most of the fight but Chavez caught up with him again. It's unfortunate he's not in good condition now but I wish him & Chavez the best. Yes! I'm not alone lol.
Taylor had heart and wouldn't back down to anyone in the ring, he pulled no punches. Chavez had good endurance and fought like a surgeon picking opponents apart with accurate shots and bodyshots that wore them down. Hard not to be a fan of both I suppose.
Yes i love them both as well as Norris and Brown to,but i dont watch them fights Taylor is a incredable fighter, but those fights were brutal, and his condition now is sad,its very hurtful to see a man in that kind of conditon when he put his heart on the line like that.
Taylor still had good speed in the rematch and fought well, but what was noticeable to me is how Taylor reacted to each hard Chavez shot. He didn't take them well, you'd see this reaction like he'd momentarily stop (at least that's how I saw it) when he'd ate clean hard shots. Then his legs were gone after the brutal 6th round. Taylor fought better than expected, but I felt of the two declined fighters it seemed pretty clear than Taylor had deteroriated more.
