and initially he was using those advantages, it's simply he got caught with a punch which had a reaction and IMO the ref simply never gave him time to recover.
These guys are tuned athletes and recover quick, let's be honest he took lots worse in his world title fight and was still there so to stop him in the first is wrong sorry:nono

    Yes was premature.

IJL didn't seem totally 100% on the stoppage either.

Billy don't let them wind you up, you know they are trying have a laugh with you.

They can be serious trying to tell a trainer of a 2 weight world champ about boxing can they

I think that the stoppage was premature. HOWEVER, I have come to that conclusion having had the luxury of watching it repeatedly. There, in the moment IJL saw Rose take a heavy shot, his legs go soft and not throwing back with Carson Jones ready to capitalise. All in all it was a premature stoppage that is perfectly justifiable.

It would be better if we didn't see Ian John Lewis again.

I like Brian but hes a vastly over hyped fighter. Should never have been in with Andrade because he was gifted a decision from the Maciel fight anyway.

I think the stoppage was awful but at the same time Rose's trainer looked fine with it on the ring apron and it was only after Rose threw his tantrum backstage that his trainer started lambasting the referee.

That being said, IJL is horrific.

Only to see another immature tantrum.

Well said Billy! Sums up the reason I barely come on here any more and take less and less interest in boxing. The level of disrespect shown towards fighters from so called boxing "fans" just irritates the life out me.

Nobody objects to criticism of a fighter's performance. I object to the sneering and mocking of people going in an putting their health on the line for our entertainment by people who have no comprehension of the bottle it takes to fight.

Lets face it, Brian Rose is nowhere - and I mean NOWHERE near as good as he (or Sky for that matter) would like to have you believe. He didnt deserve the Andrade fight, nor the Jones fight. He's a fighter whos been marketed purely on his looks, his good nature and ability to talk well on camera...... NOT on his ability.

I was ringside on Sat, yes you could argue that it could've lasted another 5-10 seconds etc, or that it was the 1st round but I guarantee 100% Rose was in no-mans land and wouldve been knocked completely out within the next 10 seconds. He didnt complain straight away and Bobby Rimmer didnt complain until after the dressing room debacle (which I seen first hand and genuinely was embarassing).

I've no proble with him being on Sky, as I havent with any fighter, they all need to earn a crust, but as someone has pointed out above, there is limited dates out there for Sky, so for me he shouldn't ever be headlining again (unless he goes on a miracle run) and shouldnt be put on bills ahead of more derving fighters.
