Is Anyone Concerned That Lacy Could Be Seriously Hurt This Weekend?

People seem to forget that Taylor is still a very good fighter. He went 2 for 2 with Bernard Hopkins, had Pavlik hurt, gave him a good fight the 2nd time around.

He may have looked bad in some of his defenses but Taylor is an A-level fighter when he is one his game.

Lacy has been shot since Calzaghe massacred him. His overall durability, speed, reflexes, power. All it has diminished. Not to mention the shoulder with the torn rotator cuff.

Taylor will utilize his jab, upper body movement, I expect him box and perhaps even impose himself on Lacy a bit. Taylor has always been a physically strong fighter, he doesnt always use it (most of his flaws are him not utilizing his own skills, not his lack of them) but Lacy is not the bullish tough puncher he once was. Taylor has a strong right hand, a punch that Lacy got tagged with a great deal against Tyspko. Taylor should win a comfortable decision. If he really is focused and dedicated a late round TKO stoppage is even possible.

Lacy needs to count on really just scoring with some huge punch that just catches Taylor right on the chin or something. Taylor has a fairly good chin to begin with, it would have to be a Highlight KO punch to put him out.

Yeah we just saw what a simple slugger should do to Manfredo, Lacy has been terrible. Mendoza nearly had him out of there.

 

i see this as 50/50 fight 2 guys that know each other well..,i think lacy takes this one hes stronger than taylor and hits harder..,seems like everyone is worried about what jeff has left but jermain might be a lil less than he useda be with his 2 fight with KP..,jeff can and will bang i think jermain will try and bang back..,this might be like the first holy bowe fight were one guy should box but cant resist and brawls too much..,
