Is anyone dropping Floyd on their p4p list?

I hope you are wrong. Cotto is the only fight that matters now.

 

This is my currant p4p list.


10. Winky Wright - 1-1-1 in his las 3 fights, but continues to take on tough comp. Too bad he keeps pricing himself out of top fights, he could rank higher.

9. Kelley Pavlik - Made a huge jump last year beating Miranda and then twice beating Jermaine Taylor. If he can keep making weight, could be a force at middle for awhile.

8. Rafeal Marquez - If the Vasquez fights didn't take to much out of him Raf will probably rank higher next year. Marquez is the complete fighter. Great D, great O, and he can slug or box.

7. Miguel Cotto - Looks better and better in every fight. Willing to fight anybody. Has a tentative date in July to fight Margarito. If that fight comes off Cotto will have fought 4 out of 5 fighters after him in "The Ring" magazine ratings.

6. Jaun Manuel Marquez - Lost a tough fight to Manny Pac in his last outing, but stll showed the skills that keep him a p4p to fighter. Wants a Pacquiao rematch, but may have to settle for someone else.

5. Israel Vasquez - Took 2 out of 3 from Rafeal Marquez in one of boxings best trilogies. Also has wins over Jhonny Gonzales and Oscar Larios in the last few years. An all action fighter with a warriors heart.

4. Joe Calzaghe - The greatest Welsh fighter since Jimmy Wilde. A huge win over Mikkel Kessler moved him up. A win over hopkins next week would leap frog him into the number 2 spot. The kid can flat out fight.

3. Floyd Mayweather Jr - The most talented fighter in the world. Unfortunatly he'd rather "Dance with the stars". wrestle for the WWE or fight big money rematches with fightes he already beaten, then take on a real welterweight threat. If and when he does, maybe he can regain the top p4p spot. Until that time its impossible for me to consider him the best.

2. Bernard Hopkins - Old man river just keeps on fighting the best. A consumate proffessional always looking for the best fighters to fight. Should he beat Calzaghe next week his place in history would have to be re-evaluated yet again.

1. Manny Pacquiao - Getting ready to move up to 135 after starting his career at 106 and beating the best fighter along the way. Has won titles in 4 weight classes. Just beat p4p fighter Jaun Manuel Marquez. Looking to fight David Diaz for Diaz's strap, and should he win that possibly a fight with Nate Campbell.

Mannys last fight was not convincing enough for me. IMO he lost it. Atm you have Hopkins over Floyd.....thats enough to tell me that your list is bogus

 

In my opinion, and that of the judges, Manny won. And it was over a top p4p fighter. Hopkins ranks over Floyd because he continually fights the best.....and wins. Floyd could jump back to to top spot with a decent win over a top welter. Until then he can't be the best by beating part time fighters and jr welters who most knew wasn't in his league.

As far as im concearned Floyd Mayweather has retired as a boxer, and shouldnt be on the p4p list at all. Rematches with DLH and Hatton are basically exhibition shows - novelties. I wouldnt take a fight with dlh or hatton from pbf anymore seriously than i took his past "fight" against the Big Show on WWE.

I've got Calzaghe top over Marquez. Reason for this is that I feel Marquez has now beaten Pac twice, and for long periods in each fight totally outboxed Pac. A 3rd match NEEDS to be made.
