This is Hatton's Opportunity for Glory! Pac already cemented his... He is willing to pass at this opportunity for the sake of money, what a greedy ****!
Of course not and not even close. Pacquiao deserves 60%, as a matter of fact Pacquiao deserves even more than that. Just look at his recent fights/wins and compare them with Hatton's. Till this day Hatton's biggest win remains Tszyu and nothing else comes close to that victory, every fight Pac takes is a bigger victory than the one before it. I'm sure there are a few that would claim Pac is ducking Hatton and I'm also very sure those are the same that picked him to get KO'd under 2 rounds against DLH, ******s. Hatton's last three fights: Malignaggi Lazcano Mayweather(loss by KO) Pacquiao's last three fights. DLH Diaz Marquez It's really one-sided and that's only the last three fights, if we compare resumes Hatton loses and BRUTALLY. It's very easy to see who deserves more and 60% of the split is not even enough in my opinion, that's Pac being generous there.
He already got there LONG ago, where have you been? It's HATTON'S chance at glory, not the other way around and Hatton has done nothing recently to deserve 50% in comparison to Pac.
Simple thing is Pac just wants the lion share because of his status. SO what if Hatton brings more money? These media only focus on Manny for being so called greedy... Don't you think Hatton has his greed too? The whole media is just covering Hatton. Arum should have first thought of what Pacquiao thinks, He just like pinned Pac to accept 50/50 and if he didn't this is what will happen. I don't know which side is Arum right now. But to think 55-45 is nothing compare if Hatton does win. Pac can ask for a rematch and he can make Pac accept 70-30 for all he wants = more money.
Hatton can't afford to be greedy in this situation, Pac deserves to be because he earned the position to demand more.
Those people can be pissed all they want. Pac ain't budging, Hatton's camp are the one keep saying all they're plan B to Z but still calling out Pac in the end.
Exactly my feelings. He`s no less selfish than guys like Jones & Hopkins in my eyes now. I feel the same disgust toward Pac now as I did when those 2 other assholes **** themselves from each other & used $$$ as the excuse when the world wanted a 2nd fight. I seriously hope he fights Mayweather & gets KOd, thats the only thing that will make him regret not taking the Hatton fight because obviously the fans reactions aint gonna mean **** to this guy.
Agreed. It's Hatton himself who says he is at the end of his career. This was his chance to jump back into the big time and create a legacy, win or lose. Manny still has a few years, and deserves to relish and profit from being the top p4p in the world. If Hatton doesn't get this fight, he is the one who has blown it.
Golden Boy Racketeering must of wanted a Pac/Hatton doubleheader and HBO obliged them as is often the case. Heck, now Oscar and Richard may finally even get their long and pathologically awaited revenge against Pac via Marquez. All great fights though!
Michael Jordan wasn't the highest paid basketball player because he endorses Nike. It's because he was the best in the sport. Michael Schumacher wasn't the highest paid F1 driver because he drove for Ferrari. It's because he was a 2 time WDC before he joined Ferrari and then won another 5 driving for them. Tiger Woods doesn't have the highest price winnings because he is the most popular golfer. It's because more often than not he makes the least amount of strokes during tournament weekends. Tennis players don't get the top price in every tournament because they are the most popular. It's because they've beaten each opponent they face every round including the championship match. In the Olympics, it's the fastest and strongest athletes who get the medals... not the most popular ones. This is the norm in which sports reward the best in their discipline... where players are rewarded based on their achievements and skills as an athlete and not based on popularity and drawing power as a public figure. It's a pity it doesn't apply in professional boxing. Worse, so called fans of boxing has accepted such "Hollywood Style" reward system.
If you're going to completely ignore the economics of boxing then Pacquiao should have demanded the lion's share of the purse from De La Hoya as well, as he was already p4p #1 going into that fight and had the far more impressive recent resume. Unfortunately that's just not the way boxing works and money can't be ignored when factoring in what each man brings to the table, or else no big fights would ever happen.
