Is anyone else bummed about Floyd's demeanor?

I was watching all his trash talk vids, even some as recent as Maidana, and it just really has me bummed.

I had such high expections for this fight. I was expecting the most fired up Floyd Mayweather, taking trash as if it was ODLH. Trying to demoralize Pacquiao. Instead, he's being boring, quiet, and completely unappealing. It almost has me mad at him.

Like seriously, wtf? I was most excited to see his persona when it was Pacquiao in front of him but, heck, Manny has done more trash talk than him!!! Even my mom texted me today and said how disappointed she was. She's only a Mayweather fan, just him, and she told me if Floyd doesn't start trash-talking soon then she's going to root for Pacquiao.

His appeal came from his attitude, his flamboyance, his dominant persona..not his fighting. And now that all of that is gone, there's nothing appealing about him. He used to be so fun and entertaining. Now, he can't say one single thing bad about Pacquiao. Like, are you serious? You talk so much trash before the fight, acting all confident, and then once he's in front of you, you shut your mouth? That's not fair! It's so stupid. I don't like this Floyd. This isn't Floyd. It's some lame, boring, boxer. He's practically ruining the fight for me. What happened to him. ugh

It's because this is first time in a long time that he has actual doubts. You could tell at the first press conference, its hard to be pompous and talk a big game, if you deep down think for the first time you may lose.

I'm so mad at him. Like he even had the audacity to say recently, "Having my hand raised doesn't define me as a man."

WHAT!?!?!? SO YOU'RE TELLING ME THE PAST 15 YEARS, WINNING IS ALL THAT MATTERED BUT SUDDENLY, WHEN YOU'RE FINALLY FACING PAC-MAN, IT WOULDN'T BE THAT BIG OF A DEAL TO LOSE!? LIKE ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!

Something you don't hear everyday, 'my moms a huge floyd mayweather fan'.

I agree though, but I kind of dig the fact that he's showing a reverence for this fight and manny. But on the other hand, he's been talking **** off and on for 5 years, and once the fight got signed he got quiet.

However I see it more as a sign of focus, and respect for how much this fight means to him and his legacy, he's got so much riding on this fight. They both do, but all the pressure is on him, if he loses and what that entails.

He seems so bummed all the time. It's as if he doesn't even want this fight. Pac's so freaking excited about it, he won't stop talking about how excited he is. Mayweather seems depressed. He isn't scared, I'm not saying that because he isn't at all...but, that's how he's acting. He doesn't seem excited or fired up at all. I miss the brimming confidence.

It seems that Floyd wants his fists to do the talking, which is fine by me.

I see he's taking the fight very seriously. There's no need to hype the fight, it will do that itself. He looked fast and strong at the open workout today.

He's trying to come to terms with the idea of losing and like with most people, they can't face that like a man, and they have to make excuses. Believe me he'll be devastated when that day comes, if it does, but he doesn't want to confront those emotions right now. It's too much for him.

Jim Lampley said it before. When he knows the fight needs promotion, he'll do something outrageous. When a fight of this magnitude is made, you don't have to do anything. I mean, the fight is simply called Mayweather vs Pacquiao. No need for a subtitle.

Mayweather is possibly feeling guilty about his current PED intake.

Do you know why Floyd is acting like this Antonia?? He's scared silly. He has never wanted this fight. He has always feared Manny would beat him even with all the advantages Vegas gives Floyd. He's been forced into taking this fight by Moonves & Showtime they want to recoup some of the losses they've had with him. I don't think Floyd could handle defeat he'd do a Hamed & self implode
