Does anyone really buy into the notion that the reason Floyds been relatively quiet is because he's focused and he doesn't need to to hype the fight since it sells itself? I don't want to say Floyd is scared but I really do think he's concerned. At first I thought since this is a fight the world will watch he wanted to be on his best behavior, act respectable and classy and maybe improve his image up a bit. But now he's saying stuff like he doesn't enjoy it any longer and that if he loses he's a winner in life has got me scratching my head. I'm giving him all the credit in the world for being the talented boxer that he is but I have to admit something is really off. Floyd is flamboyant and loves the spotlight so I find it really weird that when the world's eyes are on him, the c0cky, confident persona is relatively gone.
are you being serious? Did you not watch the Maidana pre/post fight press conference? He destroyed Maidana, Canelo, and Guerrero. Destroyed them, verbally.
Floyd knows that this fight is the most important in his career. He's focussed. He's coming to kick Pac's ass.
He fought Canelo Alvarez on September 14, 2013. Much less than a decade ago. Same guy GGG is begging for a fight with :rofl:rofl:rofl
i think floyd knows that pac is the type of person that if you insult him or do bad things to him it will just fuel the fire and make him more dangerous.... i remember pac fighting mosley and after pac got pushed down but was called a knockdown..he fought angry and mosley was fearing for his life.... its wise for floyd to keep things mellow..
come on abuffy, get over it. I know you like trash talking, whining and disrespectful men but give this Mayweather a chance. I actually found the trash talking fake anyway so i never really liked it. When it;s fake, it's all marketing and selling a fight so you feel like a fool falling for the act. I always sensed Floyd put on a act.
He doesnt need to talk, to hype. He's already getting MAJOR money, his WWE days are gone. He doesn't need to put on an identity-mask to sell.
His first fight on SHO, against Robert Guerrero, he was selling the fight a little bit, getting in Robert's face. Now that he's getting the numbers SHO wants, he doesn't need to do this anymore, he's just chilling.
True. I actually like floyd, I love that despite that dudes flaws, Instinctually he was born with the will to be the best, survive, and he goes all out to avoid same mistakes his uncle and dad made. He's always in ashame, and appears t stay way from boze or drug abuse. Dudes a survivor and us a winner, albeit kinda ****ed up, as we all are on some level, but he's real. I like the fact he's showing reverence and focus for this fight and not trying to be Ali, (which btw, never worked). If he wins or loses, I'm Actually gonna look favorably toward him, as he approached this fight with truth. And he was real.,, dudes got reservations, and he knows he could lose... But he's taken the fight at the end of his career, and he's being real and what he is, worked his ass off doing his best to prepare. IT woukd be more entertaining if he acted lke he did when he fought shane, which was so over the top, but I dig the sincerity here.
