Both guys move well for Cruisers. They both have good skills. I don't care for a prediction in this one, just very excited about the fight. I'll be supporting Enzo of course, but I like Haye as well. Great fight for British boxing.
Thing about Haye's chin is cause he leaves his left hand low, with Maccarinelli being a southpaw maybe it wont matter that much.
It's somewhere between questionable and average. He's been knocked down several times, albeit by hard punchers and he's gotten back up. His chin definitely isn't sturdy though.
I would be a bit more respectful of Maccrinellis power, he has been mixing in an extremely capable circle of opponents in the last 3-4 years.. Haye is excellent but any good pro can see Enzo is one to be a little wary of..
The KD suffered from the hands of natural 168lber Lolenga Mock tells me Hayes chin is anything but study. Enzo definately has the ability to beat haye, he definately hits hard enough, has much better stamina and his overral boxing techiniqe has improved, he boxes behind the jab well and doesnt hva etrouble getting off with impressive combinations. Enzo has more one punch power than Mormeck imo, aswel as better lungs, if you go back and watch haye vs Mormeck again you will see that The frenchman had him hurt aswel as knackered. Macca can win this fight! Saying that, I think Hayes style still matches up well, as I dont trust Enzos chin at all, he can be hit and haye hits harder than him imo, and I beleive (dont quote me) that he has the better reach, which would be a major factor in this match. Overall I have more faith in David hayes ability than Enzo Maccarinelli's, Haye has proved he can KO World class operators while Enzo hasnt. Haye by KO imo.
The fight is as mich about recuperative powers as it is chin. The Mock and Mormeck knockdowns were both temple shots and Hayes legs completely went. They were not flash knockdowns! Haye seems to take a good shot to the chin so I expect him to surprise a lot of people here with that but if ENzo catches him on the temple then Haye's legs will do a silly dance. Macca's last knockdown to Scott was a heavy one and it took Macca a round to recover. Haye won't give him that time. I think Macca will surprise people by outboxing and outspeeding Haye early but if Haye survives 4-5 rounds then he'll more than likely catch Macca with the big shots that will put him away.
