Yeah, massively. I like Thaxton. He is a good bloke. He had a great start but late in the fight he looked like he could never find his rythm.

Its very dissapointing as I thought he wasn't far from a world title shot, looked like he was gonna knock his man out in the first but then gradually ran out of gas its a real shame.

yeah same here, proper gutted for him, he took it well but he looked devestated. he seems like a proper good lad and ive followed his career more or less right from the start. BUT, he's had setbacks before, i'm sure he'll bounce back from this one too.

gutted for him, but perhaps its a good thing he isn't going to be thrown into a lightweight world title shot where he could take some proper damage.

i'd like to see him back on the british scene and give murray a proper test

i think murray would walk right through him and give him a bigger battering then the one meager took thaxton is shot

yes...i thought he won last night...just about..if you take into consideration the first round...and the other early rounds he won.

He is old school, a good honest pro who has done everything the proper way, but has had bad luck through out and few breaks

I recall his victory over Scrap Iron Ryan years ago did not result in a title and his career ever since has been full of setbacks

If only he had stayed at light weight throughout

Yeah though Jono wasn't conditioned to fight the full twelve.Do you think the fact the last two fights were early finishes it left him physically/mentally under prepared .

Yep..gutted. After a good start he started to look very old as the fight progressed, getting more and more tired and taking more and more shots from a fighter that is not on his level really. Shame for him. Almost time for him to pack it in.

yeah you could steadily see him start gassing....
dont see why he cant reap the rewards of a rematch...jus imagine if he goes over to france an finishes what he initially started in the first round!!?

I feel sorry for the guy, yes. But c'mon - this was coming from a country mile off. Shame on the rest of you for not seeing it.

I don't think he can give Murray a test. Murray will beat him. Badly.

This new European champ, he's extremely poor for that level. The vultures must be swarming round him already.
