I think Spence is a good fighter but Algieri is a badаss who will weather the storm and take him to the later rounds. I'm not sure whether Spence will be able to go to war for that long, whereas I know for a fact that Algieri can do it - as the Provodnikov fight illustrated. War Algieri!!!!:bbb http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wWNfcUkihk And if you want to watch Algieri against a fighter who has a similar style to Spence, here you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9chegPzsHD0
Not me. Even if Algeri beats him, he won't get the nod anyway. Best he can get out of it is a draw or a NC
Algieri could get robbed since Spence is undefeated, but there's also the fact that the fight will be in Algieri's hometown New York, and Spence is from Texas.
This is a mismatch and the "fans" on here thinking an upset is possible are strictly the ignorant. Being a casual fans or even one who really can't tell the difference between A class elite talent with C level talent isn't a valid excuse. How could Chris win ?
If Chris lasts the distance that's a huge statement from him. He would have to be way better than he's ever been and still need to get lucky. I read a poster or maybe a couple questioning Spence chin, if he has absolute glass Chris has a fighting chence, but I've never seen Spence slightly buzzed, maybe I missed a couple fights. Anyone have legit reasons to think Spence could turn into Audley ???
He lasted 12 with Pac and Provo, while Spence only once beat a top50 opponent up till now. This is a fight to see what Spence is really made of.
1. You think Chris Algieri will be lucky to go the distance, but surely you know that he went the distance with Pacquiao, who is better than Spence. He also went the distance with Provodnikov, who may be better than Errol. (We'll find out in a few hours.) 2. One reason I think Spence might turn into Audley tonight is that lots of fans are hyping him before he's beaten anyone of note - just like the British fans did with Audley. The reason I think Chris has a good chance is that Errol comes forward with the aggression of a slugger, but he's not a slugger and doesn't have the physique of one. He comes forward because he's undefeated and thinks no one can hurt him. Tonight he'll be in there with a more rugged opponent who can withstand punishment and dish some out himself - just look at the Provodnikov fight. Spence and Algieri are both B+ level. I don't see anything special in Spence. He has the style of Crawford but isn't as good as him. I wouldn't be surprised if Errol won a close decision, but if someone gets knocked out, it certainly won't be the guy who has proven that he can go 12 rounds with A-level fighters. I think the most likely result is Algieri by UD.
Spence an A class elite? You DKSAB! Spence never fought anyone higher than D class. and last minute D class fighters at that atschatsch
If Algieri tries to do with Spence what he did with Khan then it will be an early night. If he sticks to what he does best which is strictly boxing then he can pull this off. The only thing that Spence has for him is his punching power. I see Spence slowing down around the 9th round.
Nope. Algieri is a good fighter and has a big heart and is very gritty, but I'll be very surprised if he pulls this off.
