That's a bit drastic. I thought the same about Jill Dando for a while, she was all over every programme of every TV station for a couple of months. Then someone killed her... be careful what you wish for.

I like Bunce's enthusiasm but I saw him again on Inside Sport the other night and his attempts to dominate a discussion by being excessively loud and cutting across people is annoying.

Hope they keep using McGuigan. Him and Woodhall brought some sanity to proceedings. Fairplay, Barry must've had a migraine on sunday morning with crap continually coming from Dempsey on one side and from Bunce on the other flank for the thick end of 7 hours!

I'm sick of him being such a major issue. ****, he is a boxing commentator with a bit of pizzaz. He's got a style that doesn't suit all but who cares. He boxed when he was an amateur and has reported on fights since forever. He has the pedigree, certainly more than his American counterparts. People don't like him because he gets all excited and hypes it up. I don't really mind it.

People pick on EVERYTHING i.e. Hopkins boying him up...

...I'd love to see how many would even still be around Hopkins if he started vexing.

McGuigan makes Bunce seem normal. At least Bunce enjoy's the sport, McGuigan can only talk about Khan.

Bunce has far greater knowledge of world boxing than Barry. I get the impression that, if he wasn't being paid for it, McGuigan would hardly follow boxing. If Bunce wasn't getting paid, he'd still be a fan like the rest of us. That's the difference for me.

Buncy is a real fan and would fit in well in the general forum.

Apparentley he comes on forums alot.

I think him and McGuigan will work well after a while, sort of the pro boxers opinion and the fan/journo opinion.

One thing you can say about Buncey is that his scoring is genereally spot on. Although his predictions are crap due to his loyalty to british fighters, sometimes he does not even make one. He tried to cover all angles instead of just giving his true opinion, to many "what ifs"

I think McGuigan knowledge is pretty decent.

Buncey overexaggerates with just about every opinion. He once compared the Mayweather v Hatton fight to the Rumble in the Jungle in terms of how big the fight was as an event.

Well it was a big event for Britain. Certainly the biggest we've had in years.

Hatton v Mayweather wasn't anywhere near Ali v Foreman, Louis v Schemling II, Hagler v Leonard, Tyson v Holyfield II.

It wasn't even the biggest fight of the year.
