I hope I don't jinx it but I was half expecting some sort of injury or illness to delay this bout. Really happy it's going ahead though. I'm taking Whytes prolonged silence as a sign he is focused and determined to take the WBC strap. Can't wait for this one! Let's go champ!
It's Whytes biggest payday and Furys easiest fight. (Compared to Usyk or even AJ) Should go off without a hitch.
Put me on standby if either fighter postpones. Postfight i would be being fed by a IV line, my one braincell would require rebooting, and i might if lucky regain a semblance of consciousness mid to late 2025, but hey my bank balance would look mighty healthy even if i was not.
Whyte is probably Furys 3rd best opponent.. not the easiest by a long way.. he beat Parker, Rivas, Chisora, Helenius etc .. he's no HOFer but he's no mug either..
I forgot that fight was even this weekend. There has been little to no promotion for this fight, and tbh i have very little interest in watching it.
I meant easiest going forward. His only real options are Whyte, AJ and Usyk. I believe Whyte to be the easiest of the three.
Whyte has burned too many bridges. If he pulls out, he's not getting another shot. Fury has little reason to pull out since it's a big purse against a very beatable contender.
Order it! I know the timing will be weird but I'm sure you're up for some day drinking and boxing. WBC heavyweight title fight. Fury who is regarded by many as the number one HW at the moment up against a very game Whyte who didn't take an easy route to earn his shot.
As a big giant man myself...the heavyweight fights are the only fights I really get up for...I find it hard not to order a PPV...however...that Ruiz vs Spong farce was definitely NOT gonna be ordered...thankfully we don't have to see that nonsense. Not even worth YouTubing after the fight.
