Is anyone else willing to admit they was wrong with who they first scored the Ward-Kovalev fight for

Void is correct about Kovalev beating SOB Ward......................Void is usually prejudiced, so that really means he believes it, but almost everyone had Kovalev winning except the criminal judges.......................Harold Lederman had it 116 - 111, I have Kovalev winning almost every round, SOB did not fight.......................the vast majority of fight fans, fighters, writers had Kovalev winning and Max Kellerman changed his mind after the fight.........

 

well i scored it as a narrow win for kovalev or a draw, so i aint changing.

 

Watched it twice and had the same score- 115-112 for Kovalev.

He insists Floyd Joy Sinclair is THE authority on all things boxing but his hero TBE scored the fight the way the majority of other observers did, showing no love for Ward despite their shared nationality. I'll even add in a 'discuss' for posterity.

I no longer care at this point, It was a close fight end of, I was routing for ward no doubt, Neither fighter showed they where a level above the other, both had their moments but it was overall evenly matched.

The rematch needs to happen and one of them needs to win convincingly to be considered P4P or an ATG. Both of them met their toughest test, What defines true a champion is how he evolves from such a test, You only get to the next level by evolving from the last level.

You can't learn from fighting bums how to be elite you have to fight the elite and when two elite come together and its close who is then able to evolve and take their game to another level? I am a ward fan but if he ducks the rematch it ruins his legacy for me.

I doubt many will truly absorb the point you just made however enough of us should and accept what you're expressing at least in concept. I refuse to argue with people who are searching for some sort of definitive conclusion when this fight is a perfect example of post-purchase rationalism, where the fighter we wanted and thought was going to win should have received the nod based on the details we processed that night at that fight. We are naturally drawn to details that confirm our existing beliefs......the truth of the matter is the tangible production from each fighter was a pure wash and the punch stat differences inconsequential.

 

I had it 7-5 + the KD to Kovalev. On reflection, it could even be 8-4 + the KD to Kovalev.

 

Money May admits Ward lost to Kovalev .
