I know the odds are stacked against him, but I still think Shane has a good chance at beating Pac. Styles make fights... so Shane beat an open agressive fighter in Margo, lost to a defensive master in Floyd, and went even with an awkward Mora. He now has another open agressive fighter in front of him. The last time he was able to "pull the trigger" was against the same type of fighter. So what makes us say he can't do it again? I think Shane has the benefit of a smart trainer, Naz who will as in the past give him a sound game plan. He will also benefit from the type of fight it will be, fast paced exchanges, little holding, high punch output. Pac is defintely the favorite, but I just can't count Shane out just yet. So is it hopeless for him or can he pull off the upset?
He's quick enough early and heavy handed enough, that anything is possible, but he fights to jittery now, which is part of the reason he gets gassed, he spends so much nervous energy. See pac winning a decision, shocked so many people expect pacman to knockout someone like mosley though. that won't happen.
Okay, He's faded badly...and i'll be very surprised to see this fight remain competitive after 3 rounds.
Ireland is more likely to pull out of recession and be economically flourishing within six months than Mosley is to beat Pacquiao. Feel free to dig up this thread on May 8th when I WON'T be eating crow!
Well for me, Shane has a punchers chance at any stage, I can't see it being totally one-sided. Just hope it's a good one, Pac tasting the canvas would make things really interesting.
Does he? I thought he just suggested that for the straddle, even he knows manny has this! I think manny wins by tko
