He actually made a good point on ESPN. He stated that for Pac, this fight was just another fight. For JMM, it was about his legacy and that was the edge. I believe Atlas hit the nail on the head with that comment. I think JMM has longed to be included in the discussions about the great Mexican fighters of yesterday and today. He wanted to be mentioned along such greats as Morales and Barrera. He also wanted to be mentioned along with Pac. I think JMM would have become as bitter as Marvelous Marvin Hagler did when he lost to SRL. JMM wanted that "W" so bad that he was willing to get knocked out himself in order to try and KO Pac. Viva JMM, "The Filipino Executioner." :happy
It wasn't a unique original point. Lots of people observed that; it was mentioned pretty frequently in the months leading up.
I dont believe Pacquiao viewed it as just another fight, not after getting thoroughly outoboxed each time out vs Marquez, in particlar the most recent fight 3 in which Pacquiao scored such few clean connects. Pacquiao and his whole team knew they had lost fight 3 for sure, so Pacquiao was very up for fight 4. Marquez just proved he's the better fighter period.
Atlas sometimes goes for the underdog just so he can say later he is brilliant. Eventually if you will be get the pick. I said before the fight that if Pacman keeps giving JMM chances to fight him, eventually JMM will win.
Nobody has picked more underdogs right than Teddy It is amazing how many underdogs that Teddy has picked that won
It wasnt just another fight for pac considering how he came out fighting. Plus, he knows he didnt really beat juan 3 times so he fought him again/
The pac and klit tards hate him and they are two of the more vocal groups on here...so no, probably not.
He made right pick, but for wrong reason. Pac was up for fight, and doing well till Marquez came through. Atlas thought Pac would be not on his game, which is opposite case. He did get caught, it happens, and credit to Marquez. But in no way was Pac not up for fight, he actually may have been overly up for fight, making him careless.
I like Atlas but half the time hes talking out of his A$$. Even in fight night champion im like.....yup thats Teddy Atlas.
