That was certainly an interesting choice for Dana to put Mr Personality up there on live TV, but that isn't my point. When he was introduced he looked like a ******. I am a Brock fan for the record, I just don't think he is the leading man for any PR situations the UFC has going.
Brock is a huge draw mate. Just ride with it; Brock has done wonders for the UFC's popularity. Admittedly now we know he's 'not all that' & wrestlers no matter how naturally large won't make great UFC fighters but he draws crowds - it's all about $$$$
Was it Dana's decision or FOX's? They may have been trying to exploit his past as a WWE star, even though that was never mentioned.
Actually, I thought that Brock came off really well. That's probably the best/most professional media appearance that I've ever seen from him.
Well as time went on he certainly got better. I certainly wouldn't say Brock sucks the guy has destroyed everyone in his path with the exception with the exception of Mir, and Cain. He has since got revenge against his first fight and a guy with as few fights as he does can still improve in a big way.
Same here. Brock can be quite acidic when he's ready. But i thought he did a dam good job. Paul Heyman was probably feeling very proud. :yep
Yeah he wasn't terrible. I made the thread based mostly on that creepy smile he gave at the beginning of the show. I was also wondering how concerned Fox was considering Brock's past (ie. Lesnar Vs Mir 2) What I thought was cool about the whole thing is it was very football orientated. The live debates, the constant banter. It was all very good stuff for MMA in general. What I thought they should have done was have the Guida- Bendo fight on the main even as well, I thought that for all the build up having the main event over so quick might have annoyed the casual fan.
Brock was probably the best fit for UFC on "FOX" brand, as they are just cheesy and over the top, I think Brock fits that persona well, he is an entertainer at that level (wwe). I think he did well.
With that said I think Dana started well then he turned to **** when he got visibly pissed post fight and lost his cool, turned red and was bitching about Cain. He looked like an owner with an agenda rather than a commentator. The one thing that was funny is how Brock sort of took control a couple of times and cut in while Dana was talking and trying to hype them guys up.
Brocks a huge draw but his press conference with Reem showed that the man shouldn't talk. I love the image but the guys is a moron who finds it hard to process brain waves into words that exit his mouth.
Stupid move. Using Brock as your biggest draw just shows how cheesy/WWE that the UFC is. Using a fake fighter as the face of your organization=brilliant!
Lets face the facts. Brock has a glass jaw and he has paper skin. He just does have the skin or the chin to be fighting.
