Is anyone looking forward to Vitali/Chisora as much as Haye/Wlad?

Honestly, I think I am. Watching the face off now, and it's so interesting. At least Chisora will bring a fight, and it's against the fighter of the Klitschko's. I can't wait.

Unless Vitali's really slipped, I'm not sure what Chisora will do. Sad to say, being brave wins you no points in my book if you simply take a beating.

No, I was looking forward to Wlad/Haye as I thought Haye was all talk and was going to get jabbed for 12 rounds and have little in the way of comeback - whereas Chisora doesn't come across as a *****. In fact, I hope they incorporate the Del Boy van into his entrance somehow. If anyone can do it those Germans and K2 can.

I'm intrigued because Vitali is getting old and Chisora comes to fight and Helenius and Fury are the best prep he can really have.

David Haye on the other hand is a heavyweight *****. Cruiserweight David Haye looked like boxings saviour.

    I thought the same.

Haye may not be perfect but he ain't a ***** and if Chisora is the yardstick then whats a really bad person....

To answer the question no, Haye-Wlad was a unification superfight between two very bitter rivals with a big build up.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, just because the fight itself was a let down, the build up was epic.

Vitali-Delboy is hardly going to capture the imagination that fight had.

    Meh.

Wlad v Haye was for the heavyweight world championship. And I knew that Wlad would finally get the credit for being the true heavyweight champion (even though he may have lost it straight away by scheduling to fight Mormeck twice). So even though it was a predictably **** fight, it was still the fight that had to happen.

Vitali/Chisora is interesting though for sure. It's probably the fight I'm most looking forward to at the moment :good

Sorry, I meant in the context of the build-up to the fight. I was referring to Haye being an utter ***** in the build-up to the fight with Wladimir, including the goading and taunting of the Klitschko brothers. Not on a par with Ali/Frazier, but he still came across as a *****. Aside from that or away from boxing? I have no idea if he's a ***** or a nice fellow, so I can't say or judge.

When I said Chisora didn't come across as a *****, I meant in regards to the build-up. Not his general conduct in his private life which, by all accounts, makes him appear to be a bit of a gobshite in general.

This too - except he shouldn't have needed to beat Haye for that credit. Haye's WBA title was a paper title - Wladimir had already beaten Ruslan Chagaev when he was reigning WBA Champ, then he was stripped for fighting Wlad rather than Valuev. Valuev in turn should have lost the title to Holyfield so....I never considered Haye more than a paper champ really.

Oh yeah agreed but with the media and majority of boxing fans over here, that was the fight that did it for him.

Not really. I picked Wlad to beat Haye but though maybe Haye had an outside chance.

  12. Nah not really.

I'm not fussed either way who wins this, last year I wanted Haye to get caved in.

So I was looking forward to it, but for the wrong reasons :yep

Wlad-Haye was a bigger fight with better quality fighters that had a 2year build up.

I can't get that excited about Del Boy's prospects which look bleak, but I'm sure once he walks to the ring in his union jack gear I'll be screaming at the tv.

I'll probably enjoy the buildup more than the fight.
