Floyd is a great boxer, but hes a complete doucebag in all other aspects of his life. Hes really easy to dislike, but I still want to see him fight Pac.

 

He's ok I guess.

 

Don't worry about what I think or don't think. You're on this forum longer than anyone, but you can't break down a fight if your life depended on it.

Oh, there are Floyd fans. While on this forum people know I don't like his antics, doesn't mean I can't appreciate his skills as a boxer...

That being said the question is:

Are there any FLOYD FANS with some INTEGRITY, when it comes to his recent actions???

I know of at least 3 who think Floyd's behaviour is too much: Daryl1914, toopretty and chimba. (not discounting the people that voted "no" in the poll)

I'm a fan of Mayweather and I'm a fan of Pacquiao.

You could argue Pacquiao ducked Mosley and a rubber match with Marquez.

Basically they both (or their camps) are acting like little children, and I'm not going to take sides when they are acting like two school girls bitching behind each others back trying to win supporters.

May as well drop the professional from professional boxing.

The same could have been said about Ray Leonard with regards to the Hagler fight.

Fans typically don't jump ship even if they are disappointed with a fighter.

Floyd still has fans.

The Pacquiao threads have dominated because of his recent fight and performance. Floyd's been outta of the spotlight, once he returns you'll see Floyd threads out of the woodwork.

 

Yes I'm still a fan, since the first time I saw him fight which was against Gatti, I was impressed with everything he does in the ring and since he's a boxer and I'm a boxing fan thats all I need to be concerned about.

 

:good bingo. I think that Mayweather vs Mosley 24/7 actually hurt PBF this time around. NAseem Richardson really shitted on Floyd in a lot of ways. And Floyd's responses were kinda lame. Floyd can't talk **** in a entertaining way as of late he comes off like he is really trying to hard.

 

He makes it harder and harder all the time. I used to be a huge fan of his until a legitimate threat to his dominance came into the foray (who I also happen to be a huge fan of). But yea, if he announced he's coming back tomorrow to fight Victor Ortiz on PPV, I'd buy it.

One thing that turns me off is how he talks about "whooping fighters' asses" but when it comes down to it, he fights in such a safety first, second and third manner it really undermines his wannabe tough guy persona.

I am still a massive fan of his boxing. People call him a coward, say he has ducked every big name under the sun and say he has no heart, but he is currently either number 1 or 2(personal choice) P4P and thats pretty much fact. You cant deny his talent even if you hate his personality. I am not saying he is as entertaining as others but his record and P4P ranking speaks for itself............So am i a fan of his boxing yes.

Next point is his sucess. The statement any publicity is good publicity is imprtnat here. I think most people might pay to see him fight hoping he will loose, but again you cant deny how much money he has generated for himself. He plays the bad guy well and is also probably the most talked about boxer on this site (mainly negative posts i admit) So am i a fan of his business brain and what he has achieved finance wise.... yes!!!


Finally his personality. I dont mind his trash talking at times as its quite funny, but at times this does annoy me as i think he goes a bit too far. That rant about Manny was racist and wrong and made me see him in a different light. Also his current court case has brought to light that even though he is totally calm in the ring, he may not be out of it. So do i like his personality...... hmmmm Not really

For me i can overlook his personality as when he steps into a ring nothing else matters. I also respect his work ethics while training. Thats pretty much how i feel about him, i am still a massive mayweather fan and hope we can see him in more fights next year.
