I'm a fan of what he brings into the ring. Same with Manny Pacquiao. Therefore I'd consider myself fans of them both even if neither of them are close to being my favourite fighters.

I can't watch the Corrales fight and not be genuinely genuinely impressed with Floyd Mayweather.

i dont even know why people include anything outside of their profession because at the end of the day im sure if alot of us on here were subjected to the media that stars get....im sure there would be a lot fo shyt that comes to light farrrrrrrrrrrr worse than what they get portrayed as or do.

 

I dont think it matters what i say regarding Floyd coz thers always guna be someone who disagrees. Dont matter whether we think this fighter is the best or someone else is, the simple facts are, as fans, we are passionate about our sport we follow and those we recognise as having the skills and bravery we admire. We all want to see boxers who fight fearlessly and through boundaries most of us have no ability to but at the end of the day, one thing supercedes all of this.......no matter what we want, who we want to fight.....its all about the $$$$$$$$$$s baby, along with the politics and protecting of the cash cows. Every once in a while we might be lucky enough to stumble across a fight that reinvigourates our belief that one day, we may get to see a fight, a classic fight that we'll never forget but until that day.....wecan only wax lyrical about what woulda, coulda, shoulda.Peace.

 

Big fan of what he does in the ring. All the antics and trash talking in the media is just entertainment in my eyes. I doubt he's as clueless about his public persona as people want to think. He does what he needs to do to sell, and his personal life is just that personal. Who really cares what he does behind closed doors.

 

I find his personal life funny bt I dnt care abt his personal life yu should only be a fan of Floyd the boxer

 

I voted yes but it is getting more and more difficult to remain on his side.

 

I'm still a fan of his skills, but not his personality or boxing politics.

I know there are still FMJ fans out here, cuz I got a beat down in a thread the other day for asking if anyone thinks he is bringing on his legal problems on purpose to avoid fighting.

It seemed that thread got about a 50-50 split. Some beat me up, and others strongly agreed.

 

Theres still some zombies around here to whom he cant do no wrong.

They are the laughing stock of ESB.

 

Floyd is the best boxer in the world...

Only thing i don't like about him right now and that admire about pac is that floyd doesnt fight very often, so he doesn't fight alot of people i would like to see him fight because they usually have lost credibility by the time he gets in the ring with another opponent...

If pac loses we can all officially kiss that fight good bye...

 

People say they dont like him personally but dont know him personally ......

From my understanding floyds "personal" circle is pretty damn small......

I like the fighter, don't care much about the person. What he does outside of the ring is his buisness but just because I'm a fan doesn't mean I support everything he does.

Really rooted for him against DLH and Hatton, I was actually amazed how many posters here hated him back then. Like you said, I saw it as cockiness, funny stuff, nothing too obnoxious, he seemed like a nice guy.

Turns out the haters were right and he actually is the dick they always saw in him. Lost almost all respect after the Hatton retirement.
