I'm most certainly not. I'm a bit bemused by your suggestion though as for me Chris wasn't anything more than a gate keeper in his prime and is shot to bits now if his last few fights have been anything to go by. Me disagreeing isn't bigging up Golovkin's opposition. It's saying this version of Arreola is particularly ****. So, can we get a rationale behind your previous remarks that The Nightmare is a going to be a better win for Wilder than Golovkin has yet achieved?
Lets make this easier.. Since you seem to disagree with my comment, how about you tell me why it is that you do, and the fighter that GGG has fought that is sueprior to Arreola.
I do find it a bit odd that you're throwing this back into my court. I'm happy to say why I don't agree but am most interested in how you've come to that conclusion in the first place. Perhaps there is something I've missed. In which case feel free to enlighten me.
Lemieux and Murray are both superior opponents to a shot Arreola, it shouldn't even be a question. If it was a prime Arreola then it's a valid discussion. P. S. How did this turn into yet another GGG thread? :?
Golovkin's opponents skill wise and athletic wise are 500 times better than a shot2shyt Arreola. Arreola is not even in the top 10.
but when hes facing a klitshcko hes a great contender who would be champion in other eras and destroy lewis liston etc yeah? no end of shyte from u. but I agree arreola always has been a big shyt on the whole.
Arreola was never great sure.. But at his best he had the style to trouble not only trouble but beat a badly flawed, but more talented fighter like Wilder. I believe the Arreola who fought Vitali would have a great chance at walking down and KO'ing Wilder
Arreora is a complete bum and has been for years. Joke of a fight Wilder would be better off sitting out than taking this ****. Just makes him look like a bigger joke.. Charlie Z would have been a better option than this... Least he would have talked some smack...
It's the demographic... On current showing, I am picking Areola only against his grandma - which is why Wilder chose him. I liked prime Areola - he was never great, but he was aggressive and entertaining. I am glad he gets another payday, but as another title defense, this fight is a joke.
Arreola is good for the sport but people need to face the fact that he was never as good as they wanted him to be. At his peak('08-'09), his size, pop, toughness and POPULARITY made it easy to market him as a top contender but, in reality, he was never more than a top 20 level guy who was matched up very well.
Comparing this guy to GGG opponents is a new level of putrid hate, born out of impotence due to the severe shame mexicans must now carry due to Alvarez. The guy can't get himself in shape, he fought as a super middle FFS, then ate himself to heavyweight. When he faced Vitali, he was an undefeated knockout artist with the best shape of his career, and he got beaten to tears. Since then, he promised us all a new and improved, more disciplined Chris, then imidiately ate and drank himself into obscurity. Vitali's beating ruined him, since he made no positive corrections to his regime, and his technique and conditioning began rapidly deteriorating. At this moment, Areolla is worse than the guys GGG was fighting in his pro debut. At his best, Areolla isn't comparable to top 5 of GGG wins.
Is Arreola even allowed to win this fight? Seems like he is ripe for taking a dive at this stage in his career. Don't get me wrong - wilder is the heavy favorite and should win this fight 9 of 10 times. It is however a fight that seems logical to fix. There is no upside for Arreola winning for the promoters and haymon and a loss for Wilder would be devastating financially.
