all it takes is a quick look at my post history to see I've been here 2 years longer then you and throughout this time I have praised hopkins numerous times and mentioned him as one of my favorites numerous times, including putting him in my top 30 fighters ever..... loooooooooong before the Pascal fights or Calzaghe fiasco which I had him winning. picked him vs Pavlik, Calzaghe and Dawson and you'll find that in my history as well....... irrefutable proof that you're full of **** and resort to calling people who've been following the sport long before you knew who Mike Tyson was a bandwagon fan when they don't agree with your blind nuthugging fanboy ways. how many times do I have to son you in one thread, jesus!:patsch

what exactly are you trying to argue here? that Hopkins didn't embellish? that he should win by DQ? that dawson is bad and hopkins is god? accept the fact that sometimes your favorites can do wrong and in this case hopkins once again over exaggerated an injury.

other than that i don't even know what you're trying argue here. at the end of the day this holds no bearing on his legacy anyways.

Just agree to disagree because there is no way that you're about convince me that its soley on Dawson...Hopkins leaned and hopped on his back and clearly pushed down on Dawson head with his forearm.:-(

Answer me this then...If Hopkins would have never hopped on Dawson's back do you think that this whole little fiasco would have happened?

You can try to limit Hopkins faults all you want but some fans feel differently...Hopkins is much to blame as you're trying to do with to Dawson.

Thats exactly my point...This would have never happened if Bhop didnt try to piggy back ride Dawson.

The fight should and will be changed to a DQ. If not, boxing has stooped to an alltime low.

Nearly eight clinches, three attempted head butts all in less than two minutes and Dawson is the dirty fighter? Are you serious? Bhop has mastered dirty fighting and has lived off of it for the past five years...he got was he gives. None of that would have happened if he isn't trying to lean in and lunge with his head with every overhand right he throws.

    that said...

Anybody notice that Bhop is cleverly asking for a DQ here as opposed to a rematch? Chad was a mandatory challenger. If Bhop were to somehow get the decision overturned, he gets a check, avoids a loss, keeps his title, and is under no obligation to fight chad again. crafty crafty crafty....

Look at the 2:23 point of round two. bhop throws an overhand right, misses, and throws his head nearing into Chad's face. Chad has to grab his head and hold it!!!!! wtf....who wants to deal with that sh-t all night. if chad would have gotten busted open again, then he would've been called a quitter....

Who are you trying to convince? yourself? you're a disgracegul bandwagoner who logged onto esb post fight and probably saw the thread 'Hopkins takes a dive, fight over in the 2nd round' and thought to yourself 'wow a dive..... he does fake it a lot' and it was probably enough for you reconsider your alleged previous opinions.

You can play the Ostrich all you like but since you quoted something from my previous reply I know you must have seen my refutation of you allegations :yep it's probably the reason you're still trying to ignore it :patsch

I was just agreeing with Uncle Rico's post where he said he thought people hating on Hopkins for getting injured were both ridiculous and pathetic and you immediatly fit the description of exactly that :deal what happened next was you getting all emotional saying how Hopkins faked injury then told stories of how you and nephew dislocated your shoulders and it doesn't hurt etc. etc.

In regards to his ATG status it was never up for argument, you think some bandwagoners on esb are going to change that? This whole exchange was about how ridiculous you were coming off with your 'I'm a Hopkins fan and predicted he would win but he faked an injury'

If Dawson hadn't ducked so low would Hopkins have landed on Dawson's back? :think, If Hopkins never threw that right hand would Dawson have needed to duck? this is an endless game, blame can be shared for the buildup of the incident but in the end one man hook legged and tossed another man reglardless of the buildup to said incident.

what are you trying to say here.....did i not predict he would win??? have i not been praising hopkins on here since i joined the site....?

so because I (like 95 percent of boxing fans on earth) feel that Hopkins exaggerated an injury I must be a bandwagon fan? hahaha man your logic is ridiculous. the only difference between us with regards to being a Hopkins fan is that I'm not biased to the point where I can't see through the BS embellishing and i'm most likely quite a bit older than you so most likely i've been a fan of b-hop long before you even started watching boxing

you're making yourself look like a dumb nuthugger.

Oh look another selective reply to my post :pop

I replied to Rico's post about ridiculous and pathetic people hating on Hopkins for getting injured (so called fans at that) and from your first reply I was able to ID you as being one of those very people. It really is that simple.

Come on man, you're clearly ignoring that Hopkins started this whole fiasco.:patsch You can say that he ducked to low...what about the the forearm that Hopkins used to hold Dawson's head down? Again I'm not defending Dawson's action, but I'm not blind either to say that its all of Dawson's fault...Hopkins has some blame in this as well in which you're clearly not bringing up or just ignoring!

I'm still a huge fan, and always will be. Even if B-Hop stinks the place out one time, or uses unsavoury tactics one time, or acts like an idiot in the press one time, nothing can detract from the technical mastery he showed in his prime. Hopkins is a bona fide ATG IMO, and I don't bestow that title lightly as many on here do.

For arguments sake let's say everything leading up to it was Hopkins fault including the leaning on Dawson and the elbow ok? but what happened after that is what caused the fight to get stopped. Dawson hooked a leg and tossed Hopkins which resulted in him getting injured and the rest is history.

Didnt see it like that...I saw Dawson trying to create space from a guy that hopped on his back hence me saying that Hopkins is to blame as well!:good
