    Top 15;
    No order-Sullivan, Corbett, Fitz, Choynski, Jackson, Ryan, McCoy, Dempsey, McAulliffe, Griffo, McGovern, Dixon, Erne, Childs, Barry.
    Unlucky Maher, McFadden.
    Gans I think post 1900.
    P4P-Fitz number 1.

    Some of the old timers like Dutch Sam, and Daniel Mendoza were top pound for pound fighters who beat much bigger men. But they fought so long ago, information on them is only fair at best....and you'll need to buy Fistania to learn about them.

    too little sources , knowledge , and boxers. maybe make it pre 1920/15/10.
    then we have langford , young peter jackson , tom sharkey , fitzsimmons , etc. langford , joe walcott and jackson at the top.

    Maher was certainly thought of as a great puncher ,don't think I would call him a great fighter ,and certainly not a great p4p.

    I know what you mean but he did well with Sharkey, Godfrey, Slavin, Choynski etc, good men around his own weight and bounced a lot of big big guys around-McAuliffe, Dunkhorst, Jeffords, Kenny, Russell etc were much, much bigger hence the p4p rating. I dont make him top 15, but he is a comfortable top 25, I think.
