Is anything under 6’4 too short to become a heavyweight champion these days?

Sirenko is only 24 and 6 foot 4 and I think he would destroy Wilder if they fight now.

Prime Joe Louis, Sonny Liston will be champions today. So if there is some similar fighters I think it's possible. Mike Tyson combination of speed power and good chin, Joshua wouldn't stand a chance, he had hard time with Povetkin and Tyson was different beast.

That’s debatable but it wasn’t when he was doing mounds of cocaine and training every four or five days...

Lol Alexander Povetkin is 6'1/6'2 and was champion recently. Joseph Parker is around 6'3 and was champion last year. So why would you have to be 6'4 or above to be champion? Like being a inch taller than 6'3 makes you a better fighter? Soooo many casual fans on this forum.

I should also add this for you casual fans. Since the 70s there has been tons of guys 6'4 plus and guess what? Shorter guys beat them. Michael Grant, Lance Whitaker were both 6'8. Nobody thought they were unbeatable because of their height. Mike "The Giant" White was 6'10. When Wlad turned pro he was listed at 6'5 in the 90's. Nobody acted like he was unbeatable because he was 6'5 and nobody referred to him being a super heavyweight. This super heavyweight thing started in the last few years with casual fans.

maybe boxing has evolved from being dominated by 6 foot 6 musclemen to being dominated by pot bellied 6 footers with no wins of any note. These are the new ATGs of HW.

I guess theres a first time for everything. Butterbean must be wishing he was born 2 decades later.

Also some members of this forum surely fit the description well. We are ATG HWs in the making.

It has nothing to do with being tall. It has everything with being tall AND good. Obviously shorter guys can dominate but tall good fighters have a clear advantage.

New thread: Is anything under 268lbs not morbidly obese enough to become a heavyweight champion these days?

Fat the power! The future is fat? I dunno. I think personally he was lucky to be around when we had 3 weak champions.
