I've read a lot of posts that state Arreola is dangerous because of his power. Whilst I agree he has power, I wouldn't say he is a one punch KO artist - more like he can wear you down over a few rounds with a barrage of punches.

    Thoughts? :think

There hasn't been much footage of Arreola so far, and from the footage seen so far, it seems like he's more of a one punch KO guy but most of these guys have to wear their opponents down with a barrage of punches. It's less that he's a one punch KO artist and more that he is a guy that can definitely hurt you with one punch.

He does have enufff one punch power to turn around a fight if he's losing. Thats how he won his last fight.

More than enough pop to starch Wlad anyway... if he could actually land flush.

That's my problem with him fighting Wlad. I don't think he is good enough.

yea he does got some real power
    a little sloppy but effective
we'll see how that power does on the big stage
hopefully he'll be in top shape he's came in overweight a few times but that power is what bails him out

I wonder if people are hyping his power because he is fighting Wlad, a man that we have seen down before.

I don't think he'd have the firepower to trouble Vitali sufficiently.

Do people think he hits harder than Haye???

Good point. We'll see what happens if and when he lands on an elite heavyweight.

he has the raw power. it's all about whether he has the technique and nous to land it at the highest level, at this point in his career i don't think he does.

he throws punches in bunches and like a wild bull, that can be effective because he is a rythym breaker, very aggressive and looks like he has power in both hands...downside is his weight and lack of fitness, may hurt him as he moves up in class....still has not been in with a top 10 guy so could be exposed but at this point has taken decent shots and came out ahead in his shootouts

Pretty much. He has **** technique for the most part. A lot of winging arm punches really.

BUT he does have tremendous power which he puts on display from occasion to occasion.

He might not have much but the man can pop.

Very true. I'm sure he's a strong puncher, but I don't think he has both the skill or pop to hurt Vitali. But he could definitely ko Vlad if he caught his chin, so I'd be watching that fight.

i love how people think 1 punch will stop wlad. that is the stupiest gameplan ever against wlad. hope arreola comes in with that mindset, if so, easy win for wlad

arreola has heavy hands but lacks handspeed and technique especially at distance...really wide. better inside but wlad won't let him work inside. he's gonna make him look like a sparring partner imo.

He seems like he's mostly hype, at the end of the day. He wouldn't have stood a chance of being a name fighter say a decade ago. He lacks both conditioning and boxing skill and seems like a club fighter if you ask me, from what I saw. I don't see anything special, except for heart, in him, but most clubfighters have a lot of heart. It's just that the HW division is in such a **** state, that guys like him are being hyped up a lot more than they should. It reminds me of Gerry Cooney. Now another longshot is getting his day in the sun, but it will almost certainly end the same way. I mean, I know this is heavyweight and everyone can hit, but he almost got knocked out in his last fight because he has seemingly no useful defense. It was fun to watch, but that wasn't professional fighting. It's weird though, apparently he has a good amateur record, he just seemed so **** to me in the fight.
