No one in boxing is unbeatable. Age always catches up with everyone. The only way it doesn’t is if you retire before you take an L. Beterbiev is an exceptionally heavy handed guy who is a monster at 175. To get 17 KOs in 17 fights at the highest level as he has done is practically unheard of in boxing. But he is not getting any younger. He will be 37 in January.
I love Beterbiev but I think he is beatable. A guy who punches and moves effectively could pull it off. It would be a tough call but it can be done. Beterbiev is getting hit more than in previous fights. It's almost like he is disdainful of other fighters' punches. He needs to tighten up his defense. Yes, it is a shame his career was so badly mismanaged. He should be 40-0 with 37 KOs right now.
Nobody is unbeatable, and Beterbiev certainly isn't. A runner with a long reach, a huge puncher landing first, a tactical master boxer, or a guy that can't be beaten on the cards whatever you do, can all do the trick. I'd definitely favor prime Kovalev over this version of Beterbiev, as he clearly lost a step. Bivol has a good chance now, and Canelo only has to make it the distance in Vegas and keep it somewhat close.
This is the exact stupid opinion I'd expect from a Fraudnelo fangirl. Let me guess when Canelo beats a 40 year old dehydrated "mediocre fighter" he becomes p4p no. 1 goat
I keep seeing people saying Beterbiev isn't unbeatable at 175 but they are not giving an explanation as to why? Does Saul Alvarez or Callum Smith stand a chance against him? Joe Smith or Danny Jacob, how do you like their chances?
MMMmm If it's such a weak division why didn't Clenelo clear it out like he did Super Middle? Which most people agree Super Middle is very weak and by your own words Light Heavy is weak. So I'm struggling to understand why Ginger didn't smash Bivol and Beterbiev after beating Krusher. I mean there weak right?
Canelo has achievements at 154, 160, 168 and 175. Canelo fought at 175 once and his single win is better than all of unbeatable (!) Beterbiev's wins.
If Canelo can stay upright for 12 rounds, he will be competitive and win 120-108 on the cards. So yes, he is beatable.
