Is Arum Biased Against Clottey?

Ever since the fight was signed, Arum has been acting as if Pac is the only fighter of his in the Pac-Clottey fight.

He doesn't need to completely neutral but a little effort in Clottey favour will have been in order. He seems to believe giving Clottey the shot at Pac is all that Clottey deserves. He seems to believe he doesn't have to make any further effort on Clottey's behalf.

What is he doing for Pac?

Private jet to Dallas and back. Including for the fight itself.
    Visits to Pac's gym.
Private gym for Pac in the Dallas hotel Pac will be staying
All his comments are about how prepared, confident, in shape etc. Pac is.

    What of Clottey?
Not a single statement so far. Not even a comment that Clottey has a serious chance of winning.

He's doing everything to make Pac comfortable but is doing virtually nothing(at least that we can see) to help, encourage, motivate Clottey. He didn't even comment, let alone try to help on Clottey's trainer issue. Clottey might not bring him the big bucks that Pac, Cotto bring but he does bring him somethings(at least he had a credible opponent for Pac when Floyd-Pac fell through). As it stands it looks like he doesn't promote Clottey as well or he doesn't like Clottey or has no belief\confidence in Clottey at all.

It's understandable that Pac is the star so he deserves the perks, but does he also deserve all the support, encouragement and praises? He's might be giving Clottey a chance at the big time but he's making at least 10 times what Clottey is making and Clottey worked hard to get in the position he's in now, nothing came to him easy.

I don't believe he doesn't like blacks(like Mayweather said) but in my opinion he's setting up Clottey to lose. Clottey now has to contend with his promoter's judges\referee being biased against him(a la Cotto-Clottey, Margarito-Clottey) as well as the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world who is in his prime. All that without a trainer and on short notice.

Fighters from Africa have always had it rough and had little support from their promoters(except Don King). I will be mightily impressed with Clottey if he wins against all these odds.

Me too. I felt bad when Clottley got the bad decision. Yes, maybe he did lose the fight but not by the scores the judges had that night. It was the same fate that fellow African Ali Funeka fared against Campbell and Guzman. All in all, I really hope this fight doesn't go to the judges' card. And I really would like to see this fight be close and not a blow out like the past 3 Pacquiao fights. Lets see what happens....

It's a shame Clottey gets the short end of the stick but Bob Arum is a promoter, they're money grubbing by nature and Paquaio is by far his number 1 cash cow. He's probably doubling up on his visits to the synagogue praying that Clottey doesn't pull an upset here.

Arum knows Clottey isn't the right color...he's not green like Pacquiao.

    All of you are correct...

Clottey realized after the Cotto fight, when he contemplated giving up on boxing, just how much Arum ignored him. Gettting a shot at Pac was like Arum's gift to keep him in the folds, yet he is getting paid ****. But Clottey is no idiot. He knows full well that Arum doesn't want him to win. He has developed a sense of "Me Against the World" and will use it as motivation.

He will get his revenge. He will be the spoiler. And Arum will be attempting suicide shortly after.

Arum got Clottey a fight against Judah, Corrales, Cotto, Margo & now Pac. Arum has done a wonderful job promoting him IMO by getting him the right fights, it was up to Clottey to get the job done in the ring...had he beaten all those names he would be a big boxing star right now. Arum is probably harping on about Pac in the media because most of the media is only interested in Pac.

You are just now seeing this? Arum constantly throws his own fighters under the bus if it is it is his advantage. Margarito destroyed Cotto. Judges robbed Clottey in the Cotto fight. Think Arum said anything other than keep fighting?

As far as the other allegations... You from this distance can see the writing on the wall. You can look in the man's stable of fighters and see disparities. He is a 75 year old rich man! Still you won't accept what your observations are telling you? Arum likes GREEN people that are easily controlled.

If one person tells you your breath stinks? They may be crazy. If two people tell you, it is time to brush your teeth.

How does a man who's got a networth value of about 200mil+ get the motivation to keep on working determined to try make those few extra mil's? At 75 surely hes got enough money to last him rest of his life...?

    Look at your avatar....

It's that simple. Arum likes being in the spotlight... around all the lights, cameras and action.. and the hoes and ****.

It's what keeps him alive. It's more like playing Monopoly for him at this point.

Arum has never cared much for Clottey.

When In 08 when Arum was trying to set up Cintron to face Margo again. He was wanting to get the IBF title "vacated" for Clottey. And that he was working hard with Clottey to get something done.

Clottey then does an interview with the same site and states he hasn't spoken to Arum since before his last fight and he has no idea what Arum is talking about.
