margarito would still throw a lot of punches, and cotto in most of his fights runs and sits on the ropes when pressured.....its a pattern that has developed, and he takes uppercuts to easily on the inside....

margo UDs him....he was up on 2 of the 3 judges scorecards before the stoppage......and cotto to me has appeared to slow, i was not impressed in the jennings and clottey fights, and i am one of the observers that do feel he has lost something from the margo fight....even merchant said he looks like a guy haunted by antonio margarito.....margarito would beat him 115-113, 116-112....it would go the exact same way of the first fight except without the stoppage...

We will have to agree to disagree.... i think he could easily sweep the first 7 rounds (like he did practically the first 5 their first fight) and ride out a tough ending to win... like i said, cotto can fight better, can work on his stamina, can clinch a bit more, theres plenty for cotto to change up and do better to win the fight.... margarito is just margarito and although will always pose a problem for cotto, i have little doubts cotto beats him in a rematch without plaster and a lil more stamina, and beats him 9 out of 10.

Hopefully we get to find out whos right within the next two years :good

i do think this fight MUST happen, forget about business, personal animosity must be settled....the loser is pretty much done imo.....margo needs that fight more then cotto, but cotto needs it too...

We can't prove he cheated before the Mosley fight. You can't punish a man for a crime you can't prove he committed, and you can't overturn a loss with no proof there was foul play.

In regards to the Mosley fight, Margarito would have significant leverage in a court case battling a lifetime ban because he didn't enter the ring with the weapons. He was caught in the locker room. He faught on the level that night, and thus, any super harsh penalty would be easily overturned.

Sports cases almost always favor the athlete. And the man just doesn't have much more evidence than illegal wraps taken BEFORE one fight against him officially.

And I dislike the man. Alot. I think he is an overrated fighter who got a lot of chances he didn't deserve early on because he bitched, alot. He also damaged several fighters credibility because he bitched. Alot. But the Cotto beating is on the level, and counts alongside Clottey as his sole great wins till a man can prove to me he cheated on those nights.

This is America. Innocent until proven guilty for each individual charge.

It is sad that see that Panama Lewis is doing so well while Resto's life is ruined forever. I am not sure that everything Resto says in that documentary is pure truth. He looked very confused when he had to confront Panama Lewis.
