getting beat by wlad isnt going to end his time in the ring is it??yea it can ruin boxers..but povotkin dosnt use his head as a guard like a few who fought wlad and vitali..i dont mind pov getting even 3 fights more but wasting his time with holyfield is a disgrace..even dimi is a bad defence ffs..are you going to tell me pov isnt ready to face any of the other top 10 guys out there??
If Povetkin had taken the fight the first time around when he became the mandatory, got knocked out, and came back, chances are we'd still be talking about him as one of the best available opponents for Wlad right now. I don't know why this myth started that one loss to Wlad ends his career- that only happens if the other guy wants it to be the end...there's nothing that says Povetkin couldn't have taken the fight, learned from it, bounced back, and taken another crack at Wlad. I think it'd have been better if he took the fight a couple years ago, regardless of the outcome, as opposed to building up Wlad as something he'll never be ready for. That mindset has already given Wlad a huge advantage if the fight ever goes down and Povetkin's already likely past his physical prime.
