Is Audley better than a custry version of Ruiz?

Ruiz is a former world champ with a **** load of experience. He came to fight, kept coming forward and took big shots. I don't think anything I've said about Ruiz can be linked with Harrison. They have boring in common but Ruiz was effective, Audrey was scared.

Audley is big, slow, tentative and throws one shot at a time. Haye eats that sort of fighter up unless Harrison can land big but even then it takes him a long time to open up and commit to one shot let alone 2 or 3 which he might need to have a shot at winning.

If Audrey survives the first shot that Ruiz did I'll be very impressed.

Perhaps like no other sport, boxing is all about the underdog. Audrey is one shot away from fufilling a dream.

The only fighters that give Haye trouble are short or similar size to him, use a tight defence and jab their way in. So guys like Mormeck - who he stopped - and Ruiz - who he stopped - and Fragommeni - who he stopped. That suggest a pattern.

Tall guys are Haye's bread and butter, he can come in underneath their jabs, step around them and fire shots up at their heads as well as work the body.

he can take a punch and doesn't cower like a rabbit in bright headlights when jabbed,that makes him 3 times the man.

I watched a couple of the Ruiz clips yesterday on youtube, something I noticed, at times Ruiz did maneuver Haye back, used the jab to back Haye up and set up those right hands, which worked for him when he did it cause of Haye's tendency to go straight back, but here is the thing, that strategy will only work consistently if you keep a momentum of pressure going, when you slack of a little, it allows the opponent time to think about where they are going to move so they dont let you maneuver/navigate them toward the ropes where you can double that jab, then find the right hand, you have to keep applying that mental pressure, but you also have to keep a good defense as you roll foward, beit head feints, shoulder feints, head movement, infact there are a lot of variables to pressing someone behind the jab effectively, but if you can make it work, its very effective imo.

One more thing, you have! to cut the ring down whilst applying that strategy.

Not a chance in hell... lets look at harrisons last few fights ... outboxed in a very dubious decision against George Arias , lost over 10 rounds to a very limited boxer in martin rogan (if he cant outbox Rogan then no chance against haye) , won prizefighter against poor opposition in Belshaw,Hughes and Barrett and finally was down by some way on the cards against Sprott until landing a beauty in the 12th ...

The fight is a bit of a joke in all honesty ! .... Haye needs to win convincingly then get in the ring with a legitimate contender otherwise he will lose my support !

Also - Danny Williams lost on points to Julius Francis.

Julius Francis got destroyed by Tyson easily.

But Francis said Danny Williams could be good enought to beat Tyson - and he was right.

 

Ruiz took some crazy shots that would easily ko audley! face it this wont go past 4 rounds

Anyways. Long and short of it. Harrison's ****. As a pro he always has been and always will be. This is going to be similar to Khan/Prescott. Complete with wobbly legs when the first jab lands and everything.
