So these days having 10% Aboriginal blood means you aboriginal? Same thing with Obama, he is half black and half white yet everybody calls him black. He is as much white as he is black for gods sake

Mundine has far more white blood than Aboriginal, unless both parents have aboriginal blood then i dont see how it can be claimed

to my knowledge the 3 legal critiria to being classified is..

1: u must have aborignal blood. both Daniel and Choc have this
2: U must identify yourself as an aboriginal person. both Daniel and Choc do this.
3: you must be accepted in the community you live in as Aboriginal. Again both and Choc fit this.

although dont quote me on that as im not 100% sure. just springs to mind as something i was told in Aboriginal studies at school

there were some honourable intentions, but also some dishonourable intentions in that the white man felt he knew how to raise the kids better than their black parents

the idea of it had some merits on paper but the way in which it transcended and the aftermath points to it being a negative exercise on the whole... all it did was make the black fellas resent the white fellas more than they already did and probably only a small percentage benefited from it whilst the rest turned to booze, drugs and homelessness. Typical beauracracy as its finest, sounds like a good idea so lets go full force and to hell with the consequences.
