And if so, what does that make Pavlik, Calzaghe, Winky and Tarver respectively?

Did you watch his last fight?
He's way past his prime, but he's not 'shot'.

I don't know about 'way,' but he is past his prime. Obviously he is not shot.

Just goes to show their quality of opposition wasn't much to brag about before they met the 40+ year old.

He's an enigma. Past his prime physically by a long ways, but still in fantastic shape for his age, and as far as his ring craft, he's never been better(though not at his best overall because he doesn't have the physical capabilities to maximize his potential anymore). Similar to Calzaghe in that regard, except that Calzaghe is nowhere near as limited physically at this stage as Hopkins is, even if he's deteriorated a bit in that regard himself.

He looked awfully sharp his fight vs Pavlik, as opposed to Calzaghe..SHOT?? It's hard for me to say...I get criticized for using " shot " differently.
    Shot vs totally

hopkins said he fought the best fight of his career against pavlik, he had a spllit decision against joe..... he is not past his prime, ive seen hopkins his whole career and at what part of his carrer are you all saying he was better??

if hopkins was EVER better than he was now than he would have been able to beat taylor and jones dont you think...

hopkins has never been physically and mentally better than he is now, people inflate how good he was, if he isnt in his peak right now tell two fights in a row where he fought better than he did this year against pavlik and calzaghe!!
