he did not perform better in any fight than against pavlik...no way no how...prob just because of the styles but that was his best...a whitewash against the lineal mw champ

Possibly, but the question was about a better "two-fight" performance than Calzaghe/Pav. The Calzaghe fight was not that good. Not terrible, but not as good as any in the 4 fight series I mentioned (except maybe the Daniels fight). The Trinidad win was close to being as good a performance as the Pav fight.

it's unsettling that posters on a boxing board have no clue what the difference between a shot fighter and one past his prime is.

Apparently he is not shot, judging by Pavlik fight ! It is amazing the amount of times after one poor performance many people say a fighter is shot, then they come back with a good win !

    Obviously not shot.

Past his physical prime, in his tactical prime.

There's no cut and dry answer for understanding Hopkins.

Have you any idea what "shot" actually means?

What? No way is he shot, ridiculous.

Past his best for sure, he's compensating for that with ring smarts, but he's not shot.

no way is b hop shot.
ok he aint as quick as he used to be due to his age but the age has brought him wisdom
he is a smarter fighter now than he has ever been.
i would say he has found a new lease of prime.

Not even close. He is still one of the very best P4P fighters in the world.

athlete's can peak no matter what age they are, i am sure Lennox has one more performance peak left in him... Bhop has one or two, but can he do the work to peak for more fights... probablly.
