He fought a hell of a fight against Abraham. He got cheated. Yes. But.. still battled like a warrior till the end. He can fight with the best of them and hold his own. Look he was 12 sec from being champ of a whole new division. So i say underrated. what do you think.

Yes thr froch fight. He just got bad trainers and management that doesnt know how to call a fight or train. How are you going to tell a man that has been wooping their opponet all night they are losing and they need a knock out. Froch couldnt get past his jab the whole night. But hey. Taylor just need to clean up shop and start all over with something new. Get rid of that sorry team he has in his corner

    Of course Taylor overated.

The entire basis for him being any decent at all is 2 "wins" which most people think he lost against a DEAD at the weight Hopkins. Bhop should have moved up in weight long before.

personally i think jermain is a good boxer, he got good all round features excluding stamina. he can box, go toe 2 toe, got speed, power everything. i think there is a problems with this nutrition, he needs to sack his dietician or actually get one as it shows in the ring. i also feel he has lost the hunger inside him he needs the hunger back. he is not shot, just needs a better conditioning coach.

u really like jermain seems like a genuine dude, and doesn't bad mouth like carl froch. he is not overrrated but then again he is not underrated he is bang on middle.

Was overrated when he beat Hopkins at 160 because I always said that Hopkins should have went up to 168 lbs by that time. Now he isnt overrated or underrated. He is what he is, a decent fighter who can be competitive but not a world champion.

i can agree to a certain degree. But he has fought top notch caliber players in the game. He is a great athlete and talented. His stamina is a question? styles makes fights.

also forgot to mention, in the abraham fight jermain wasnt tired in the end, but he lost concentration therefore easily getting hit, i honestly think taylor needs a better dietitians and conditioning coach.

someone doesnt always have to be overated or underated.

I think most people have the right idea on jermain, a very solid fighter whos fought the best, won some and lost some, good guy, good fighter, not bad... not great.

At least thats my opinion. You have the odd idiot that says hes garbage, and nobody will ever claim he was great.... he just is what he is, a good fighter who took on the best, won some and lost some, and was always competetive.

12 seconds of being a champ? That statement gave you up boii. Abraham was leading on the official scorecards up to the point of stoppage.

    107 - 102
    105 - 103
    106 - 102

Put up a logical arguement. :deal

i think its possible to underachieve and yet NOT be overrated...this would be jermain.

we all want to see the best fight the best. well jermain did just that. the man fought the best. look at his last 10 or so fights.

    * he was ahead of pav on the cards when he got caught...(i think we can all agree he should have finished him off)

    * he was a totally different fighter in the rematch and didnt eat nearly as many rights from pav and the decision was close. imo that was the best fight of his life. to come back the way he did and correct many of his mistakes (the low left in particular)

    * he was ahead on the cards when he was stopped by froch...just gassed and was seconds away from being smw champ

    * competitive against aa when a lot of people thought he was shot.

    * i mean ****...aa, froch, lacy, pav x2, spinks, ouma, winky, bhop x2, joppy, marquez...who fights guys like that over and over anymore??

the fact is we could all see what his problems were but despite his problems he was able to achieve all he did. he was the former undefeated undisputed mw champion of the world. overrated fighters don't give bhop that hard of a fight, twice...regardless of whether you think he won or loss. given the fact that pav was THAT close to being beat in the first fight and froch was seconds away from losing his straps means that jermain underachieved but i don't think he was overrated. he was what he was. he was a helluva athlete who could box a little and achieved all he did despite his obvious flaws. i know people want to hate b/c he was hbo's "golden child" or "chosen one" but that trivializes all the good fighters he took on in an age where we ***** and moan (rightfully so) that the best don't fight the best.

just my opinion fellas...go easy on me :good:good:good

I completely missed it because the Abraham fight was still in my head. :D

Well yes . . . only 12 seconds to win that fight. :yep

For me Taylor is an under achiever but not under rated. Fact is . . . he is still being regarded a top competitor until he lost again to Abraham in their recent fight.
