He is a little past his prime but still a very dangerous opponent. He is slower and has less stamina but the rest is intact.
nothing? what about money or a self confidence builder with better marketing for a fight with cambell or anyone else at 135..?
He still looked like a world class fighter the last few fights we've seen him in. Though he has been on the decline due to age so who knows... he might pull a De La Hoya on us and look like **** all in one fight.
Lets be realistic about this. Limmond and a badly faded Gomez almost had Khant out of there. Barrera is certainly not what he used to be but he still has waaay too much for Khant.
Barrera slower but is still capable of giving the young guns a tough fight.Khan has the edge in speed tho but has a brittle chin.. might see a repeat of that KO in his own turf. If Barrera catches him.
I have to admit, I've thought MAB was just on the verge of "shot" a few times in his career, but then always came back with a surprising performance - Hamed, Morales III, Juarez II, even in losing to Marquez. I've never seen a fight where he looked like an undisputedly shot fighter, but he is certainly past his best by now IMO.
Nope! These facts are pretty hard to ignore. Besides, MAB was already SHOT at 29, he will be Amir's Delahoya.
(pluging my ears) LA LA LA LA LA LA LA That was me ignoring this post. Serously you have some good points.
Barerra is a very live opponent for Amir but i see Khan being just too big and young for him, Once Khan wins he'll want all these props like hes the man that beat a prime Barrera.
