Is beating Juan Diaz reason enough for a boxer to be crowned P4P #1?

I too agree w/ Sprika. Diaz was dominating Marquez. He was definitely ahead by 2 rounds until that fateful KO. Marquez was gasping for breath and it is not a good sign. It showed that age is catching up on him. I see a dominating win by Pac when they fight in 140, or even in 135.

Go back a few posts and you'll find that my post was not intended for you but to sprika who came in here putting down my post without adding anything but emoticons to the thread......

I think that a form of disrespect, when I'm answering a post to sdsfinest22, and he jumps in with nothing to say or add to the thread but a putdown.......
.....sprika or anyone can jump in anytime, but at least have the common courtesy to have something to say by disecting the point of points he does'nt agree with instead of putting a bunch of ....yes, *******ed emoticons and no substance to his response.

    You're right! :good
So, Divac, how do you propose to determine the winner if judges can be accused of corruption by both sides. This is just a sport and somebody has to win. If one is declared winner, fans whether they agree or not have to accept the decision, unless it is proven that there is cheating committed.

Its part of the rivalry between Pac fans and JMM fans....
.....I really dont have a problem with it....

There are a few posters that I do label as *******s....I really dont have a choice when someone like Harrison interupts good debate in threads with pictures of JMM on the canvas, and has nothing else to add but the pictures and ignorance of the facts that there are non-knockdown rounds that have to be scored as well.

Sorry, but Harrison type posters I have no problem labeling *******ed.....usually when they get upset its because the shoe fits.....

I've been called a Pacteron and a JMMoron many a times in this forum......
I simply ignore them......they dont bother me a bit.....I believe it bothers the posters calling me those names for not acknowleadging them.:lol:

If the shoe fits you wear it, if it does'nt, you ignore the call or defend you stance. Its really that simple.

I think that forums like this where fans voice their displeasure about judging is good for boxing.....

....it at least adds an element of pressure that was not there before the internet age, that we the fans are conscious of there shenangans.

The fan, not judges ultimately decides who is worthy and who is not!

I am a fan of both pac and marquez....I just can't put JMM #1 when pac dropped him four..(agrguably 5) times in 2 fights...PBF is number 1 anyway

Bottom line, all the fights that you were not happy with the results you AUTOMATICALLY SAY!!!!!

    JUDGES are corrupt and incompetent!
    JUDGES were not looking
JMM never LOST in any of his previous fights :patsch

    Have a good day divac!

    Exactly!

I'm as big an Evander Holyfield fan as there is on this site......yet as I see it, I dont accept the decision rendered of a draw in his first fight with Lennox Lewis.
The decision came down a draw.....thats fine and dandy for the corruptness that runs ramapant in boxing......but on my scorecard it reads Lennox Lewis the winner.
.....and I believe anyone that knows an ounce of how to score a fight would acknowleadge Lewis the winner that night.
An official judge is not going to tell me that Holyfield deserved a draw against Lewis in their first fight, though I would have loved it very much to have been so....

I can give you many examples....here's two more....
Leonard-Hearns rematch ruled a draw......most fight fans recognize Hearns won that fight, even Ray Leonard himself.

.....the same with DLH's official victory over Felix Sturm....everyone who knows an ounce of boxing knows that Sturm won that fight.....
From what I hear, since then in his book, even DLH admitted he lost to Sturm!

......you see gentlemen, official results are not the Gospel!:deal:bbb:hi:

In that case, JMM would be p4p#1 if Pac would retire now.

P4P is a joke you can't go by that list, 'cause when Margarito was there he was above Paul Williams after PW beat him. Right now Mosley is above Cotto and Cotto beat him. So what is the criteria, one good fight and you go to the roof? Where can we put margarito now? And PW will fight soon, if hr beat Winky, that means #1 P4P. Or lets take the WW divison who is #1 now Mosley, Cotto, Margarito. IMO the rankings are jokes, soon teh WBO will come with a mandatory for Cotto, probably somebody that we don't know, with a 30-0 record to be blown like Jennings. That's the reason I don't support the P4P list or the ranking systems that the boxing organisms have to dictate who fights who for their belts.
