Is beating Juan Diaz reason enough for a boxer to be crowned P4P #1?

you judging this through the last two performances which is wrong. pac is no.1 for what he has acheived in the last 7 years. beat barrera~2 morales~2 marquez~1 delahoya~1 and foty~2yrs. no2 behind floyd for a few years now.how can you put marquez above after two fights.

You and divac think personally that JMM should be #1 because personally, you think JMM beats pac, and he beats better opposition even though he had a hard time than expected....fair enough...:good

But officially, Pac beats JMM, and officially Pac dominated DD and DLH who was fighting at a weight he hadn't fought for a decade, in which pac has NEVER FOUGHT before and was the heavy underdog...So officially, Pac is still #1 P4P..fair enough???:good

There you go, difference between personally and officially!!!:good

could be argued that Barerra and Morrales were past prime, it can also be argued that he shouldn't have the win over Marquez and beating an old ODLH at a weight he hadn't fought at in a decade and with a recent record of 6 fights - 3 wins - 3 losses.

Thats my point... P4P is objective and everybody has their own opinion. I know you are a big Pac fan artofwar so you will have Pac at No1. I am also a Pac fan but first a boxing fan and i had Marquez beating Pac in the 2nd fight and i believe out of the 2 Marquez has had the better opposition in there respective last 2 fights

barrera was waaaaay more past prime when he fought marquez and i thought he beat marquez, he was robbed

pac beat a prime barrera, something marquez couldnt do despite fighting a way past prime barrera

Which is exactly what we are saying. P4P is objective so it boils down to personal opinion and you shouldn't let Official decisions cloud your own judgement because those 3 judges can and quite often do get decisions wrong and can be corrupt. Just because Pac is Officially p4P No1 does that then mean as boxing fans who watch and know the sport just as well as those working at Ring Magazine can't form our own opinions on an objective title?

I disagree... i think Marquez would have done just as impressive a job as Pac did... DLH couldn't throw a punch to save his life that night. His feet were static and his head didn't move apart from when punched. It was like beating up on a heavy bag

Thats what I meant, everybody is entitled to their own opinion..And I'm just telling you that no matter how you see it or debate about it, its already official that Pac beat JMM..I'm not trying to convince you, I'm just stating facts....If there is an opinion, there are also facts...

i respect your opinion but i disagree too, different styles pac and marquez have and marquez being more slower than pac he'd have to be more cautious going in to the fight knowing DLH is the bigger man. DLH looked like a punching bag against pac more so mayweather ruined him also he was not the same after that he struggled with forbes but still despite that i don't think jmm would have beat DLH

    YOU HAVEN'T ANSWERED MY QUESTION

IF A REFEREE MAKES A BAD CALL THAT COSTS FOOTBALL TEAM THE GAME DOES THAT MEAN THAT THE OTHER TEAM REALLY WON AND THEREFOR THEY DESERVE THE VICTORY

#1 for what?! LET ME GET this straight!

    Lastest TWO wins!

    vs. CASA

OMG! You forgot that CASA hardly proved he was better than sta CRUZ! Watch it and tell yourself who do you really believe actually won!

Oh MAB fought CASA on his twilight of his career! Just like Calzagehe's win over RJJ! Yes, I win is a win but who will dispute that their fight happened on the rock tail end of CASA's career!?!

    vs JUAN DIAZ

You guys forgot that Juan Diaz was already EXPOSED by PAPA Nate just a few months ago! Is Juan Diaz in the top 10 or even top 15 p4p?! :patsch

just because the judges decision did'nt go your way their corrupt and bias. They dont have the benefit of replays, slow motions and T.V. angles. Maybe their calling it just the way they see it. You should try scoring the fight live. some people really cannot understand.:patsch

I dont actually have to say another word.....you've actually made the point for me with this here post you wrote.....

You're actually saying that mistakes are made in every sport and at every level.....

....you simply chose to accept the refs, umpires, judges mistakes, biases, and corruptness, and oblige with how you view each team, fighter, whatever, as is their ruling......

In other words you've accepted the fact that you'll be a puppet to their rulings!.....

Boxing obviously being a judged sport is different than team sports like Basketball, Baseball, football, etc.....
.....in those types of sports, when a ref makes a bad call, in most cases, the team on the bad end of a call still has time to compensate, because they play along knowing the score.....

In boxing, the boxers dont know the score until the final verdict is read......so you simply cannot compare a game where score is always kept and the players know the score at all times, to a judged sport like boxing where a fighter has no idea of the biases a judge may have.
