Let me preface this by saying this is a serious thread.

If you're a bigger guy who is in the 6'3 plus range and has a heavyweight frame, or at least USS Cunningham size, why isn't this a possible career path? I'm aware of how hard it is to become and succeed in boxing, but this seems VERY doable for motivated man.

Look at Drummer Boy Eric Molina. This guy fought a string of almost literally bums en route to his battle with Arreola. He was stopped once by bums, once by Arreola. A few bums later, title fight with Wilder. The point is you don't even have to be undefeated. David Haye's recent opponents are perhaps even worse. You can just be A DUDE who has BIG HANDS and a BIG HEAD for your million.

I truly believe that if an ordinary man with good athleticism and good size dedicated himself to the sport for 5 FIVE years, he could face and KO a string of opponents leading up to a Wilder payday.

It almost feels like Wilder will begin posting on forums asking people if they are interested in a bout.

    Let's make some money, ESB.

    "for your million"? lol

You get like 200k to fight them. That's why they pick you, because you are a hopeless nobody who can't ask for more.

Has Deonkey been found guilty of ducking a mandatory challenger he was signed to fight weeks before the fight yet, and using a flimsy excuse as the reason?

In that way, him and Haye are bed fellows and should be brothers.

Well they are half brothers. And both Punani.

The two bolded comments contradict each other. Sure, some random athletic guy decides to try to make money by getting into boxing to become an opponent of Wilder:rofl
As bad as Wilder's defenses have been, make no mistake, the worst of them is one of the 50 best people on the planet in their field. With thousands of competitors making up the ranks of pro hw's, and many, MANY multiples of that pre weeded out, ie intimidated from even entering such a competitive field. And you think some random dude can just decide to be a hw boxer and make money from being a Wilder opponent. No defending Wilder's choice of opponents, but geez, get out of here with stupid talk like that.

If you're any good, or want paid fair a decent purse, you won't get a call so it's not an option unless you are in a mandatory position like Povetkin or a media creation like Briggs. Note, no Briggs date yet. Methinks Haye doesn't want to pay him.

    You're quite right.

The thing is that quite a few of them (Gjergaj especially) came to take a dive and get paid, so he didn't look any better than some random athletic HW guy.
