Is Bellew a big pucher ???

Have you seen Boone fight? because he had Ward down and really badly shaken up for about a minute, I also read he had Kovalev down so the guy must have a bit of power. I think the weight affects Bellew.

 

Boone is a big puncher and is better than his record, but he is no-where near as good as Bellew.

 

what about being put on your ass by ovil mckenzie and a none puncher like bob ajisafe?

He got a flash KD against an awkward Ajisafe.

Got careless against a Heavy hitting domestic gate keeper.

But still got up to win.

Boone and McKenzie are on a fairly similar level./

 

I beg to differ. Boone has fought a lot of very tough guys and been robbed in a lot of his fights. Personally I don't really rate Bellew much higher besides Stevenson won a rematch with Boone in very impressive fashion.

 

I'm aware of the re-match but to compare Bellew to Boone is crazy.

Boone is much more comparable to McKenzie

 

darnell boone as somebody said , 2 fights with stevenson 1 win , 2 fights with kovalev 1 split decision loss , had andre ward down and doing the amir khan dance , regardless of his skills , he has genuine world class 1 punch ko power , i think bellews power is sort of like froch's - slow thudding power and due to there lack of speed its harder for them to nail a full blooded shot , anybody whos held the mitts says he can whack , people tend to forget its not as easy to land ko shots on moving objects !

 

power isnt in the physique. Look a Kostys Tszyu he was built like a chickens hard-on but was known to posess great power.

 

Again, its all about timing.
