Is Bellew Vs Cleverly really as big a mismatch as everyone is going on?

Can anyone explain why Bellew hates Cleverly so much other than being jelous of his success??

Tony's been at him for a while now and long before any talk of Clev having a world title shot so I dont think its that. Jealous of an EBU belt? Cant see it.
Whatever it is, it has worked as I dont think a quiet nuthugging LHW would have got this chance. Go on the bomber.

So why has Tont been at him for a while.

It all stems from the Ajisafe fight where Cleverly said "Based on that performance I can't see the fight ever happenign" which was a fair assesment at the time.

It hardly stems from that Rob. It was bubbling way before that.

I will be surprised if Bellew survives past round 4. Cleverly is on the verge of world class while Bellew could be a decent Brit level champ one day.

2 young prospects in the same weight division. Comparisons are inevitably going to be drawn in progression and talent, that's a breeding ground for any rivalry. It's a natural occurance.

Clev was not a prospect when Bellew started coming through. He has always been a year ahead.

You get the general idea though? Both young up and comers, fighting at around the same level, one looks like a rat, the other looks like Zippy from Rainbow. It's a fairytale story.

I agree, he has more than a chance with his power...:good

If Cleverley trades with Bellew early doors it is totally the wrong tactic...:yep

Cleverley needs to box his way to win in this fight and save the big guns until later on in the fight...:yep

If Bellew detonates on Cleverley its over, the ref won't need to count...:bbb

Well he has got more realistic prospects of fighting for them titles than Bellew has.

    Just reality.

Not every fighter can be the best.

Not every fighter can be World Class.

    Its all about levels.

    Its all about ego.

Clev - a Glamour Boy - with a smugness about it - with a head band around his head - coming into to groovy IBIZA club music - getting alot of media hype as the Maths boy - and heading for the top picking up the titles - PLUS - got a stunning Blonde Girlfriend.

Bellew's ego is rattled as they are at the same weight - and targets Clev.

Its natural ego rivarly from 2 light heavyweight boys.

Benn and Eubank - would never have hated each other so much if one was Super Middleweight and one was Featherweight - they still would proably not be friends - but they would not be bothered so much about each other.
