100 % this. He is articulate when the spotlight is on him, in a similar way that Audley Harrison was and Chris Eubank Jnr is and in a sport like boxing it really stands out. As others have said Saturday night will be his real test because Jose Ramirez is no Khongsong. Josh is a deserved favorite and I want him to win's but I would not be surprised if Ramirez dismantled him due to being better prepared and having a better strategy.
Let's see if he can take someone up from nothing. He's being handed ready made superstars because he's clearly an MTK puppet.
I think he’s right in that one tbh. Tibbs contradicts himself in his latest interview, he admits giving interviews straight after the fight while BJS was in his way to hospital was wrong and not professional , he asked for the videos to be taken down, he had to borrow some equipment from Ben in LV as he hadn’t brought his own , he was even showing the interviewer private messages re the Dubois situation . Don’t get me wrong they are both coming off terribly here but it’s certainly not all one way traffic.
He couldn't even if he wanted to. No way a malicious little scrote like Taylor turns cautious on the word of a trainer, especially a yes man with no presence like Davison.
I’m one of the rare posters here that actually quite rates Ben. Yes he’s young and consequently the ego might run away occasionally but in time I think he’ll prove to be a top trainer.
I listened to Mark Tibbs interview on Boxing Social yesterday and thought it was a good listen. He addressed everything he was asked and you can tell he was annoyed at Davison getting involved when Billy sat on his stool at the end of the 8th.... but being old school, he didn't bother getting drawn into a tit for tat "he said she said" bollocks. Put his version of events across and drew a line under it. Ben is starting to get on my tits to be fair. Respect the job he did for Tyson but his face seems to be getting everywhere. Like someone else said in this thread, I hope he doesn't install a over cautious "safety first" approach on Josh Taylor going into the Ramirez fight because whilst Josh can box extremely well one of his best traits is his spitefulness
Pushed his way into the H2H even though there was no need. Couldn’t stand that someone else was getting attention.
Him squeezing through the two fighters like he was forcing himself on a closing subway door was brilliant. He can't get enough media and spotlight.
The ONLY reason people give him any credit is because he has been a part of Team Fury. Any anything Fury does is praised because he is God to a lot of people
It’s all about him. He’s taking credit for being placed by MTK to work with Taylor. Who was already an elite world champion anyway. He’s a fraud and a chancer.
Exactly Lets see him bring a boxer through the ranks and win world titles Not just attach himself to world level fighters
