Now, wait a minute before the flames begin, I love B-Hop, he's inspirational and a great fighter. However his fights at this stage have trancended common sense and his opponents are put in a position of "win and he was too old, lose and you are a laughing stock" Theres no Risk/Reward factor in hopkins fights, it's just Risk.
Abortion is pretty bad aswell though I must admit i'm kind of disappointed you're mother didn't consider it with you. :verysad
he is very good for boxing. he promotes fights, he is a great character and is excellent in the ring.
Bhop is great for boxing. Dawson will get a lot of credit if he beats him, because everyone knows he's far from "shot".
I have to admit after Hopkin's fights with Orneleas and Jones I lost a lot of interest in him and thought he was pretty much at the end. Now, after two great performances in entertaining fights with Pascal, I'm re-interested in the old man again. I'm thinking the Dawson fight is going to lack fireworks and drama but Hopkins atleast has me very interested in the fight itself. He says he wants to fight until he's fifty(which I doubt he does) but if he can competitively I hope he does.
Of course not. Draws intrigue, puts on great performances, interesting story, tons of charisma, is a legend.
And what does it matter if he was bad for boxing anyway? Like he doesn't have the right to be a pro or something?
His fights aren't the most exciting, and his clinching and mouthing off probably do alienate a few casual fans. However, he is so beloved by the core fans that he is overall good for the sport.
when a 46 yr old can beat or be competitive against prime boxers that are champions and young in any division of boxing consistently it shows the sports doesnt have any great fighters anymore.... so yes he's bad for boxing because he's showing boxers now a days are not that good 46yr old should have no business getting in the ring against top level young fighters :hat
