It seems everyone has written him off against Calzaghe, saying he's too old and Calzaghe will outwork him etc. Personally I think Calzaghe will win, but I reckon it could be a very close fight. Hopkins has never been outclassed before in his career, has consistently fought higher level opponents.

I think it could turn out to be very interesting.

    Opinions anyone??

  2. Joe will get an easy win , i even think he will KO Hopkins :bbb :good

I remember a lot of people saying that before the Tarver fight as well:good

    Depends on 2 things:

    1. Will Calzaghe be elusive and moreover, strong enough to rebuff the 21st Century version of B-Hop, aka the Ricky Hatton hook and hold???

    2. Will the ref that's assigned prevent B-Hop from hooking and holding?

If the answer to either or both of these questions is NO, then Hopkins should be the favorite.
If the answer to both of these questions is YES, then Calzaghe should earn a workmanlike decision.

Read above. If either is NO, then Hopkins will win.

Hopkins look like **** in his fight against Wright. It was so bad that Max Kellerman wonderded how Hopkins would fare against Dawson. He didn't even look that bad against Tarver, but now he's showing his age. If Calzaghe would be favored against Dawson, who would annihalate Hopkins, then what does that say about Hopkins chances? I'd say none at all.

Hopkins has yet to lose to a lefty, and Calzaghe is there to be hit. I see a B-Hop beatdown in the makings.

I like this one to happen.

Even if Hopkins loses (which I don't want), I like to see how this fight will turn out.

I like to see how he will defend against Joe's speed and workrate, and how we will attack Joe.

Fair call, Hopkins tactics will have to be spot on for him to have a chance. It will be fascinating to see how he attempts to deal with Caz's speed. At Hopkins age it's a possibility he won't be able to pull off the tactics he chooses anyway. I'll be cheering him tho.

    It doesn't matter

Joe is deceptively strong on the inside, he was physically stronger than both Lacy and Kessler despite looking less so. He will hold his own in that respect

Joe won't fall into that trap too often anyway

  13. This will be a complete walkover for Joe unquestionably without any doubt, people think Bernard's a tactician but just wait and see what Joe does, he'll shame this fraud.

  14. If Bernard counters just 12 of Joe's punches a round what happens to the other 50+?

  15. Not for scoring. Hopkins output is too low, this is him taking a last payday, he knows this.
