With the result of Hopkins/Dawson officially ruled a NC, allowing Hopkins to retain his title, does that mean Hopkins is technically the oldest champion to ever defend his belts?

Hopkins is also the ONLY TRUE undisputed belt holder. nobody besides hopkins ever had the WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO belts all at the same time. hopefully Andre Ward will be the second to do it but Hopkins is a true living legend

Wladimir Klitschko will probably be the next guy to do it once Vitali retires in a year or two. I think politics will make it tough for Ward to collect all four belts at once.

anyway the wbo sucks let not try and give it credit here

Lets talk about the only 3 belt 2 division undisputed champ in evander holyfield

Nobody else still hasnt done that

  10. Exactly. George was 48 and only a gift decision to Briggs made Foreman lose.
    Plus,Hopkins wasn't retired for 10 years.
Also,Foreman won The Legitimate Linear title and the WBA/IBF belts.
    Hopkins won a WBC title.

He won the WBO belt from De La Hoya, who was never a real MW champion. Hopkins needed to beat Sturm who was blatantly robbed vs Oscar for that to have meant anything significant.

Pathetic way to get into the record books anyway, his current feat :-(

    good post

Foreman was a true legend as a pro- 2 somewhat seperate careers with huge sucess

and the fastest amateur record to a gold medal that I know of-

he won the gold after 25 amateur fights

    UNBELIEVABLE

Dont buy this wbo BS now guys in the old days if you fought for a top title you were not allowed to unify the wbo they stripped and werent recognised in Britain for a long long time

    AS a matter of (useless)-

Wladamir Klitschko is the only HW to ever unify a wbo title ever

    thanks for that :-(
