This man even holds his breath when he runs past people smoking. Hasn't touched alcohol in god knows how long. Super healthy diet which is largely vegan but he does eat organic buffalo meat.

Hopkins is annoying and I don't care for him.

Fighting in such an ugly, dirty style takes away from some of his accomplishments. Him quitting against Dawson was embarrassing.

This post proves one point. You know absolutely NOTHING about boxing

Bernard Hopkins has to be one of the ATG greats of the sport What he has achieved in really unbelievable he's still kicking the asses of fighters while he's probably older than their fathers. The Dawson fight ended in a blatant foul by Dawson he threw Nard to the canvas WWE style
Thjis resulted in a serious injury to Nard he separated his shoulder. This was proven by the x rays

You've got to give it to the guy, whether you like him or not, he won a major world title at age 48 AND has defended it once so far. Fighters aren't supposed to make it that far, in which case you could easily argue that he IS the most disciplined fighter ever.

There's plenty of interviews of his where he breaks it down as to why he disciplines himself and why he fights the way he does (He holds great interviews, the guy knows how to talk compared to 99% of athletes).

And I think what he deserves the most respect for is that he is where he is based off of skill and intelligence. He has never been the strongest, the biggest, or the fastest. He out-thinks his opponents and frustrates them and uses psychological warfare.

B-Hop is great to watch just to appreciate what he is doing in there. He could easily be modern day's version of the "Old Master" like Joe Gans was 100 years ago.

B-Hop is a legend and an all-time great, and he will be missed when he is gone. One day he will get the appreciation he deserves.

One of the most disciplined in the history of the sport.

He spoke about learning from the great Marvelous Hagler the importance of conditioning and not letting yourself go up more than 10 lbs in walking weight between fights. That, and not living a sedentary lifestyle (Smoking and drinking,) are the reasons why he was such a dominant MW and a title-holder at 48-49. Truly an incredible physical specimen.

I'd say Floyd is right up there with him as far as current boxers go. 2 of the most disciplined fighters I can think of in recent times.
