Not yet...he might BECOME the Real Deal but right now he's pretty flawed as a prospect.

Great power, great combinations and tremendous hand speed...but outside of that he's got some kinks to work out.

Give him till next year and he will be the miguel cotto of the division! Dude has almost all the qualities of a great fighter, hand speed, power, and combinations. The only thing he is lacking is foot work. I honestly think he is someone everyone in the division should look out for.

Now! I dont know why? but, (I know this is hella premature) I actually see him beating Cotto...I think they are a lot alike.

I think he's an exciting fighter and a likable, hard-working guy, but i just don't see him becoming an elite-fighter.
He'll probably win an alphabet title here and there and become an attraction, but accomplishment-wise i don't see him go much further than an Arturo Gatti, for example (which is still pretty damn good, but certainly not "great").

Cotto has already been knocked down and hurt before -Torres, Mosley, Judah all hurt him at some point in their fight- where as we haven't ever seen Berto's heart and desire in those championship rounds.

It's not HIS FAULT this hasn't happened yet but until he proves what he's made of when it counts, I don't think he's ready yet.
