    You could make that argument.

He's got more of that consistent, heavy-with-every-shot power rather than shattering one punch power I think. He kind of batters people to pieces rather than sleeping them in an instant. TBH that's probably more career-ending than getting KO'd with one shot, kinda like Marciano did.

Scary that he is 36- Farther time is undefeated. Best years behind him now he will get "Exposed" and ridden off in the future I fear.

Kovalev, Stevenson and Roy Jones scored more impressive KO's at 175 than Beterbiev, there's 3 in the last 20 years. When your best wins are Gvozdyk and Callum Johnson, you're not top 10 all-time in any regard apart from maybe the overly hyped column.

    Impossible to say.

What interests me most in looking at chins is unique cracks. So how many guys did this guy stop that nobody else did? How many guys did this guy stopped that were never stopped by punches? How many guys did this guy stopped that were only stopped once?

The answer for Beterbiev at the moment is probably quite a few, because his victims will have met only one ranked opponent - Beterbiev.

Such is the low-level of matchmaking now that the way I appraise historical chins may no longer work. But it definitely won't work mid-career.

Fans usually prefer to see fighters with impressively looking 1 punch KO/TKO or at least multiple KDs in one round etc.

There are fighters who prefer achieve stoppage with gradual damage.
Beterbiev now looks that is over the hill and old, then there is boxer Subriel Matias.

TOP10 etc is only Western boxing fans imagination and creation, like ATG, formal HOF: boxer is from US? Cool.
    No?
    Not that cool boxer etc.

Ofc he does have flaws but he was from boxers like Subriel Matias not 1 punch KO artists.

Ranking also is pro western business biased thing.
When Beterbiev was in real prime, vs him western fans idols didn't had rushed to fight with, like vs Gvozdyk or even GGG.
This is normal thing and I agree: to be highly valued in forums prizefighter you should have at first proper origin, proper promoters and so on.

Uncle now is old, therefore ppl are biting him.
I I was Beterbiev, I had retired from fighting tomorrow.

Gvozdyk btw did 1 alone proper choice.
There are so many roads to earn for a living, combat sport and it's fanbase are very small, almost unnoticeable niche in US, not alone in the world.

I would have him comfortably in the top 10.

He’s got an intimidation factor around him as well, his record may not be ATG level, but out of all the top light heavyweights there have been, he would be one of the top ones that I wouldn’t want to get cracked on the jaw by (not that I would want cracked on the jaw by any of the top punchers at light heavyweight)

    Good fighter.

If he fought in the 50s people would be raving about how hard he hit as a heavyweight.

Of course. But if he did, well, any notions of him being a blown up LHW would never be uttered.

The bar for a fighter from the 50s getting recognition today, is a lot higher than it is for a recent or contemporary fighter.

The only fight Roy Jones ever weighed close to 175 at fight time was against Gonzalez, as far as I know. That includes fights all the way back to middleweight. Is Roy now bigger than Saad or Spinks?

    Spinks

    Bob Foster
    Saad Muhammed
    Fitzsimmons
    Adonis Stevenson
    Tiger Jack Fox
    Curtis Sheppard
    Bob Saterfield
    Ezzard Charles

    Probably Tarver and Kovalev also
