Is Bob Arum overplaying his hand by headlining Juanma Lopez on PPV!

    No disresepect to the fighter at all, but how in the world are you going to charge 39.99 for a Junior featherweightbout !? Is he delirious? I mean I know the kid can bang but c'mon. If the Clottey-Cotto fight was "free" on HBO HOW IN THE WORLD can he charge for a young upstart with no name recognition and in a light divison class ? Who's going to buy it? I mean I'm Puerto Rican myself but Arum has to be delirious! Ok my rant is over.

    This is supposed to be headlined by Pavlik vs. Mora? Arum did some concensus by putting more undercard fights... Foreman, Arce, Martirosyan, Santiago, Hopkins and Korobov all fighting on the undercard...

    Martirosyan vs. Tsurkan is an interesting fight...

    While 39.99 is a lot, saying "For a junior featherweight bout!?" is a discredit to the skill level involved with Juan Ma. Just because he isn't a WW doesn't mean he's not a big money fighter.

    HBO didn't want this fight? GBP had already secured the date and JuanMa is probably too big for Showtime at this point.

    Puerto Rican's will buy it. They bought the last one with JuanMa in it.

    Yes. The card is a joke now. It might have been worth it when it had 2 solid undercard fights, but without Malignaggi-Alvarado and Montiel-Morel, it's a joke that he's charging that much for that card.

    that is not even the worst part. And I am just repeating what Juanma said in one of the Puerto Rico newspapers a couple of days ago. He said Arum tried to have the fight on HBO but the date wasn't available. Or something to that effect. I Don't really think Bob even tried. I hope Juanma gets a fair part of that PPV.
