Hopkins' fights are ten times more entertaining than watching some UFC fights where they roll around on the ground for five minutes.

That on the floor cuddling is about as BORING as it gets.

Also, the sleaziness of punching someone in the back of the head and sides of the face while they're turtling up on the floor. It just seems crass and preternaturally violent to me.

For what its worth I'm a big fan of fighters like Eddie Alvarez (Belator) and "Ruthless" Robbie Lawler. These guys can wrestle well but usually elect to stand up and bang. very few leg kicks, they check kicks and throw hands in their fights.

Lack of quality exciting heavy weight champions. Nothing wrong with the pound for pound division.

Boxing sucks now.I only watch the main guys like Floyd and Pac and Bhop.I prefer old boxing fights that I have not seen. Fact is if Wladimir Klitchko delivered pizza for a day, maybe two people would recognize him, however if Cain Valasquez did so ,he would get mobbed on several occasions and asked to take selfies. Mma is just more crazy and versatile, you'll never be able to throw a spinning tornado kick in boxing .

Yeah I agree Boxing doesn't know how to promote their talent to the mainstream like MMA does.

I think that boxing is fading out... Only a few people make money in it... More importantly boxing is dangerous. Show where where the mma is on the decline!

If boxing is declining then it's not because of MMA, it's because of the numerous problems in boxing. Disillusioned fans may look for an alternative sport to follow in MMA, but it's not the cause.

Boxing is far more accessible then MMA across the globe. During Olympics or Commonwealth games you have fighters pro and amateur from places like Ghana, Indian, Myanmar and Virgin Islands.
Young impoverish kids that can fight dream of going to the Olympics and becoming like their idols (Ali, Tyson, Leonard etc.).
UFC only represents a portion of the MMA population with regards to events, however I can't see little Mugabe from Tanzania or Wang from China idolising Rhonda Rousey or the UFC production which is aimed at redneck white-trash Americans.

    If anything, MMA is declining.
