That was Chi, getting $30K purses in his homeland as the WBC Featherweight champ and his promoter was giving him no support. He tried his hand at K-1 without much success. Damn shame. Tough dude with limited skills and a very exciting style. The Morales and Brodie fights are gold.

It aint a real invasion until they fight in the US. So far I only seen. Manny, John, Gerry, and some other thai and pinoy fighters.

:nonoPenalosa was not unknown to me and I live in Souther California. I saw him In the 90s against Hipolito Saucedo On ESPN,The fight before that Saucedo had given Danny Romero a tough fight. Penalosa was champ at the same time as Romero, and there was talk of them fighting, but obviously there was bigger money to fight THe other champ and cross town Rival Johnny Tapia. Anyways I was impressed with Penalosa,he also fought a couple more times in the US after that.

Boring in his day?:nono I think he was even more exciting He was very fast and Always hit hard. Did you even see him fight in his prime? He relied more on his experience, punch and chin when he was older,in his prime his style was similar to Mannys.

Dont fuc* with my quote  I dont think youever seen him fight in his prime. I never said he was an all time great I said he was a very good fighhter. I wont pretend that I ever saw his brother fight so i have no comment on him.

Penalosa was painfully boring. Its ova after pacquiao loses.Koreans and Japanese are interested in MMA and UFC, not Boxing.Thais love Muay Thai Kick boxing.Philippines-there won't be another Pac.The last good boxer from the Philippines was Elorde that was a long time ago.Wait for a few more decade for another excitin Filo star to emerge if one is good enough, that is.
